Kiss Kick Off the Psycho Circus with Guitars in Space

Kiss celebrated the release of their Psycho Circus album with an appearance at the Mann Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Monday. The event, which was hosted by Fox Television's comedy series Mad TV, treated 800 lucky fans to a special 3-D Psycho Circus video (glasses that enabled one to envision Ace Frehely's guitar shooting off into outer space were distributed inside the landmark theater). The Psycho Circus album was previewed and original members Gene Simmons, Ace Frehely, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss took questions from the press and leaked a little info about their future plans. The band revealed that they will begin shooting the feature film Detroit Rock City in early November. As far as the Psycho Circus tour, the only confirmed dates thus far are two stadium shows: a special Mad TV Halloween show on October 31 at Los Angeles' Dodger's Stadium (with one-shot openers Smashing Pumpkins) and December 31 at The Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit, Michigan (to be broadcast on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve). Kiss plan to encourage the Psycho Circus tour attendees to donate food to the Feed the Children program. We'll continue to update you on any additional KISS info as details come in.
