DALLAS--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 9, 2000-- PCs everywhere are getting a dose of rock n' roll with two new computer games from developer-driven computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers. KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child and Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2 offer KISS fans, Heavy Metal addicts and gamers electrifying virtual experiences and both games are available in stores nationwide. KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child is a 3D action-shooter game based on the rich KISS fantasy world created by Todd McFarlane (``Spawn'') in his best-selling KISS Psycho Circus comic books. The game is set in a bizarre, underground circus world and features 10 of KISS' biggest hits on the soundtrack. Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2 is a third-person action/adventure game based on Kevin Eastman's Heavy Metal 2000 movie, the sequel to the explosive and groundbreaking animated film Heavy Metal. A Sega Dreamcast(TM) version of KISS Psycho Circus will be released in September and a Dreamcast version of Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2 will ship this Christmas.

KISS Psycho Circus and Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K..2 have received accolades from the gaming and consumer communities. Details Magazine named Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2 the Sexiest Video Game of the Year. C/NET GameCenter rated it a 9/10 and stated that it's ``Quite possibly the best action-adventure game you're going to play this year.'' STUFF Magazine gave KISS Psycho Circus 5/5 stars and exclaimed, ``For the first time in years, here's a shooter that really kicks in the adrenaline like a boot in the bozacks. KISS rules!''

KISS Psycho Circus (Developed by Third Law Interactive)

In KISS Psycho Circus, gamers take on the role of one of four KISS-inspired characters (the Demon - Gene Simmons, the Starbearer - Paul Stanley, the Beast King - Peter Criss, and the Celestial - Ace Frehley), to battle the hideous Nightmare Child in an effort to save the universe. As the gamer travels through the 40+ levels, KISS songs, including classics such as Cold Gin and newer KISS tunes like Psycho Circus, can be heard on destructible jukeboxes. A special KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child Collector's Edition is also available for hard-core music fans. This set includes a KISS poster signed by all four band members, a mini-strategy guide, special CD artwork autographed by the game's development team, and a laminated reprint of the official KISS backstage pass from the Psycho Circus Tour.

Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2 (Developed by Ritual Entertainment)

Featuring artwork and themes from the Heavy Metal 2000 movie, the game is set in the Melting Pot Universe thirty years after the movie leaves off. The player controls Julie as she fights to defend her homeworld, Eden, from the marauding Gith Industries despoilers. Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.2 combines exploration and puzzles with a unique fighting-game style combat system for an original hybrid gaming experience. Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K..2's main character, Julie, is based on Queen B-movie star Julie Strain. The custom music soundtrack features over three hours of original Heavy Metal inspired music.
