KISS guitarist gets Bronx Walk of Fame treatment

(Launch) - KISS lead guitarist Ace Frehley will be inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame this weekend. Frehley, born and raised in the New York City borough, said, "I am overwhelmed to be inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame, not only for my personal achievements but also to be honored with such a prestigious group of Bronxites." Frehley, like all honorees, will unveil a permanent personalized street plaque along the Grand Concourse, after which inductees will ride a Walk of Fame float in a parade to celebrate their achievements and the 30th annual Bronx Week. The ceremony will be held Sunday. Others being honored include U.S. Secretary Of State Colin Powell, actors Burt Young and Diahann Carroll, hip-hop icon KRS-One, salsa star Johnny Pacheco, late film director Stanley Kubrick, author E.L. Doctorow and former New York Mets baseball player Ed Kranepool.
