| (Launch) - Everclear will be in Los Angeles this week to shoot the video for the band's cover of the Thin Lizzy classic, "The Boys are Back in Town," which will appear on the upcoming "Detroit: Rock City" soundtrack. Everclear frontman Art Alexakis and the film's director Adam Rifkin will co-direct the video. A number of actors from "Detroit: Rock City" will appear in the video along with Vivid adult film stars Janine, Julia Ann, Jenteal, Chasey Lain, and Raylene. Gene Simmons of Kiss is also slated to make a special appearance. Alexakis, who previously directed and edited some of Everclear's videos, tells Launch that he's not a big fan of music videos. "Videos are so stupid anyway. I've always thought they were, but some bands do cool videos, why not us?" The "Detroit: Rock City" soundtrack hits stores Aug. 3, while the film opens on Aug. 13. |
