Shepard to release 2nd 'Ally McBeal' album

(Launch) -"Ally McBeal" singer Vonda Shepard will perform select tour dates on the West Coast beginning this Sunday in San Diego, where she will support the Indigo Girls. Shepard's new album, "Heart and Soul: New Songs From 'Ally McBeal,'" is a collection of music from the award-winning Fox series on which she sings each week. It is also a follow-up to the 1998 album, "Songs From 'Ally McBeal,'" which is certified double platinum in the U.S. and has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. "Heart and Soul" includes new Shepard originals such as "This Is Crazy Now," "Baby Don't You Break My Heart Slow" (with Emily Saliers of Indigo Girls) and "Read Your Mind." Shepard also interprets five pop classics including "This Old Heart of Mine" (the Isley Brothers), "Someday We'll Be Together" (Diana Ross and the Supremes) and "Vincent (Starry Starry Night)" (Don McLean). "Heart and Soul" will be released to stores Nov. 9.
