Synopsis:

In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas, especially after three straight episodes worth.

Last week Nelle was smitten with a convict, this time her dad’s one reindeer short of a sleigh ride, the holidays haven’t been kind. Making like a leggier Natalie Wood (before she believed), Nelle was ashamed that her pop fancies himself as the displaced St. Nick. Turns out Mr. Porter’s special schizophrenia caused him to lose his job teaching second graders since Santa’s a very corruptive influence. John’s not your traditional white knight but he did save the guy’s livelihood and bring father and daughter together.

With all these new Nelle layers unfolding, is it possible that she might be John’s perfect romantic partner after all?

Around the water cooler: Elaine wore her jingle bell vibra as Mark escorted her to the office party, he hardly cringed at all, that’s progress. Fish and Ling did a shameless Milli Vanilli of Hey Paul & Paula, though she garners points for the fab fedora. Then there’s Renee, she sang, made Ally paranoid (see below) and she sang some more.

Isn’t it about time that Lisa Nicole Carson got more than five lines worth of dialogue?

Ally was not anywhere near holly jolly, even with the twinkling Christmas utopia that beau Larry created for her in his office. It seems when the white elephant in the room is a flesh and blood Bond girl; it can be a tad intimidating. Jamie (Famke Janssen), mother of Larry’s son Sam, arrived, and Renee et al, convinced Ally that her shimmy was sinister.

They were right. Jamie slithered all over Larry at the party, even using Sam as bait, but he would testify to any court in the land about his head over heals status with the lady lawyer, much to Ally’s relief.

Do you believe Larry or is he hiding his feelings about Jamie?

Well, Vonda’s final song ‘What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?’ posed the biggie of all questions. Of Ally’s many suitors, is Larry the one you want to see her kiss at midnight?
