Synopsis:

(From TV Guide)
Vanessa Carlton guest stars as Dusty Springfield (and sings Springfield's 1964 hit Wishin' and Hopin') on a Valentine's Day-themed episode that's short on romance. There's a dance at East Catholic, but Luke (Jamie Elman), true to form, is ambivalent about attending. And Roxanne doesn't have a date. Neither does J.J., because Beth (Rachel Boston) won't return his calls. Meanwhile, Patty is planning her first boy-girl party, but Helen sees to it that opportunies for romance will be few and far between. And in another matter of the heart, Jack is having chest pains. (From NBC)
LOVE IS IN THE AIR...OR AT LEAST IT SHOULD BE; VANESSA CARLTON GUEST-STARS -- Preparing for the East Catholic High School Valentine's Day dance, Meg (Brittany Snow) tries to convince boyfriend Luke (guest star Jamie Elman) of the importance of the holiday, while Roxanne (Vanessa Lengies) waits for a brave boy to ask her to the dance . Meanwhile, a health scare sends Jack (Tom Verica) to the hospital, while JJ (Will Estes) searches for forgiveness from Beth (Rachel Boston). Elsewhere, Patty (Sarah Ramos) braces for her own Valentine's Day festivities as she makes arrangements for her first coed party. Vanessa Carlton guest-stars as the legendary Dusty Springfield singing "Wishin' and Hopin.'" Gail O'Grady and Ethan Dampf also star.
