Synopsis:

East Catholic's track coach want Sam and J.J. to push each other, and that they do. Meanwhile, Will (Ethan Dampf) is preparing for his First Holy Communion. First, though, comes First Confession, and he's not looking forward to that. Meanwhile, Patty (Sarah Ramos) has her own encounter with the Catholic Church; Roxanne tells Meg that she's now interested in “guys,” not “boys,” Michael Brooks (Joseph Lawrence) in particular; a girl in Helen's lit class comes down with a disturbing illness; and Henry and Nathan (Jonathan Adams, Keith Robinson) accuse each other of having bad attitudes.

HELEN IS CAUGHT OFF-GUARD WHEN SHE HELPS A FRIEND -- Helping a classmate recover after the sudden loss of her unborn child, Helen (Gail O’Grady) is caught off-guard when she learns the truth behind the woman’s loss, forcing her to wrestle with her own feelings. Elsewhere, Henry (Jonathan Adams), prompted by Nathan’s (guest Keith Robinson ) comments about his future, presents Jack (Tom Verica) with a new business endeavor. Meanwhile, Meg (Brittany Snow) helps a friend in love, when she aggress to question Bandstand producer Michael Brooks (guest star Joseph Lawrence) about his feelings for Roxanne (Vanessa Lengies) and a competitive JJ (Will Estes) attempts to step up track abilities in order to catch new rival Sam (Arlen Escarpeta). Sarah Ramos and Ethan Dampf also star.
