Synopsis:

Roxanne buys time with the new producer (Michael Rodgers), as she campaigns for Meg's return on Bandstand; JJ competes for the title of Honor Man at boot camp.

(From TV Guide)
R&B singer Monica guests as Mary Wells, singing “My Guy” on “Bandstand,” but Meg isn't there to watch: she's being punished for her involvement in Sam's fight at school, and Colin (Michael Rodgers), the new associate producer, is looking to replace her permanently. Meanwhile, JJ is locked in a battle for squad leader of his platoon; Helen searches for a second opinion regarding Will's polio surgery; Patty is skipped into ninth grade (that puts her in East Catholic, too); and the Walkers decide to leave riot-scarred North Philly. “The neighborhood is not coming back,” says Henry.
