Synopsis:

The Pryors learn that JJ will be stationed in Okinawa; Roxanne decides to tour with her boyfriend's band, while Meg and Drew go on a date; Helen has second thoughts about Will's surgery. Actress Jill Rappaport and rock band Steadman guest-star.

The British band Steadman impersonates the Dave Clark Five in an episode in which JJ returns home on leave prior to shipping out to Okinawa (next stop: Vietnam). Meanwhile, Lenny's band has auditioned for a tour and Roxanne tries to tout him to a reporter from Look magazine (“Today” show entertainment correspondent Jill Rappaport); Meg plays hard-to-get with Drew (Sam Page), then calls him to ask for a date; Will works feverishly on a model tank before going into the hospital for his operation; and Sam thinks that his mother's employer cheated her out of her last three days' wages.

STEADMAN GUEST-STARS AS DAVE CLARK FIVE AND JILL RAPPAPORT GUEST STARS AS A JOURNALIST - JJ (Will Estes) comes home for two weeks and informs the family that he will be stationed in Okinawa. Roxanne (Vanessa Lengies) drops out of school to tour with her boyfriend's band. Meg (Brittany Snow) finally goes on a real date with Drew (guest star Sam Page). As Helen (Gail O'Grady) prepares Will (Ethan Dampf) for the hospital, she starts to have doubts about the surgery. Jill Rappaport ("The Today Show") guest stars as a journalist. Steadman (Simon Steadman, James Board, Russell Field, David Walton, Chris Murphy, "No Big Deal") guest stars as Dave Clark Five, singing, "Do You Love Me."
