Synopsis:
Beth and JJ break up after rendezvousing in Hawaii; tearful Beth tells Meg something that even JJ does not know; small-business owners approach Jack with an idea; Jackie DeShannon (Liz Phair) performs.

Liz Phair impersonates Jackie DeShannon, singing “Walk in the Room” on “Bandstand.” Off the set, Beth (Rachel Boston) is off to Hawaii to meet JJ for some R&R. It won't be either restful or relaxing. Meanwhile, Meg takes a job in WFIL's newsroom, where she sees a news clip that disturbs her greatly (she's also disturbed by something Beth tells her); Lenny (Johnny Lewis) is back in Philly with a newly released single and no idea about Roxanne and Luke (Jamie Elman); Nancy's replacement at the travel agency is a bachelor (Hank Stratton) who's very forward with Helen; Patty meets creepy Carl (Wes Robinson) at a pool, where she also meets a cute lifeguard; and Henry's frustrated because his new partner, Jack, doesn't treat him enough like a partner.

LIZ PHAIR GUEST-STARS AS JACKIE DESHANNON -- Beth (Rachel Boston) brings Meg (Brittany Snow) with her to shop for wedding dresses before meeting JJ (Will Estes) in Hawaii for some R&R, but the trip is anything but restful, and they leave broken up. When Meg confronts Beth, Beth breaks down and reveals something that even JJ doesn't know. Meanwhile, Meg is enjoying her new job filing tapes for WFIL news, where she meets someone who helps her become more politically attuned. And Roxanne (Vanessa Lengies) is surprised to discover that Lenny (guest star Johnny Lewis) is back in town, which disrupts her life and new romance with Luke. Meanwhile, Patty (Sarah Ramos) decides to revisit a lost romance with the boy she met at the pet shop, and at Pryor's TV & Radio, Jack (Tom Verica) and Henry (Jonathan Adams) are not the only ones feeling the pressures of the encroaching big businesses, and Jack is approached by his fellow small business owners with a life-changing solution. Liz Phair ("Extraordinary") guest-stars as Jackie DeShannon singing "Walk in the Room." Gail O'Grady, Ethan Dampf, and Arlen Escarpeta also stars.
