Synopsis:

Meg gets in trouble at school when she adds an anti-war element to her play; Luke's return to Philadelphia turns Roxanne's life upside down; Helen has an uncomfortable encounter at work; Jack's new role is overwhelming.

New city councilman Jack faces his first polotical crisis: Henry's pastor (Rocky Carroll) demands that he push for a black member of the police commission. Meanwhile Meg's having difficulty getting Chris to show up for rehearsal; Melanie becomes jealous when she sees Sam with Meg; JJ learns what his mysterious mission will entail; Luke returns from Berkeley (with a beard); Donald has a fight with his lover that his boss overhears; and Will gets into a fight with a girl.

MEG CREATES CONTROVERSY AT HER HIGH SCHOOL AS J.J. PREPARES FOR A DANGEROUS MISSION -- Meg (Brittany Snow) adds an anti- Vietnam War element to the high school play she is directing, which gets her in trouble with the school administration. The experience brings Meg and Chris (guest star Milo Ventimiglia) closer together. Meanwhile, Luke's (guest star Jamie Elman) return to Philadelphia turns Roxanne's (Vanessa Lengies) life upside down, and Melanie (guest star Benita Krista Nall) is jealous of Sam's (Arlen Escarpeta) relationship with Meg. As Helen (Gail O'Grady) experiences an uncomfortable situation at work regarding Donald (guest star Hank Stratton), Jack (Tom Verica) is overwhelmed with his new role as city councilman. Meanwhile, JJ (Will Estes) prepares to embark on a dangerous mission and remains unsure of the outcome. Jonathan Adams, Rachel Boston, Sarah Ramos, and Ethan Dampf also star.
