Last Word: There are upcoming historical events coming up toward 1969 that this series has to cover besides Dr. King's and Senator Kennedy's slayings, such as Woodstock, America's July 1969 moon landing, Charles Manson and the Sharon Tate Murder, and maybe the passing of Judy Garland. I expect to see a couple of items of interest in that year that American Dreams will characterize, (which would be season # 6!) One is to hear Crosby, Stills, & Nash's hit single from the Woodstock LP titled "Judy Blue Eyes", and the other is to see both the Pryor and Walker families do away with their prejudices or racial differences and finally become fully acceptable of their son and daughter dating as a couple with their blessings. Please, atleast keep this show on the air long enough for us to witness these matters!

  17. Last Word: I myself am a 1971 high scool graduate and lived through the time period this series depicts. Plus, like some other people have stated on these websites concerning American Dreams, I too would very much like to see this program reach the 70's era so the younger viewers can witness how the civil rights and women's rights issues became laws of the land as this show will describe. How the acceptance of interacial relationships, (as displayed by Meg and Sam), did its part in bringing an end to racial misunderstanding, and most of all,...how we arrived to the high cost of living today, as American Dreams will explain in its 10th season which will describe the 1973 Oil Embargo that prompt rising fuel cost and provoked inflation. Of course, there's those seventies musical artist to be portrayed such as Elton John, Rod Steward, Patti Labelle, Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Carpenters, to name a few. And just as some of the seventies buffs as myself, I also believe the ratings for this elite family drama will pick back up substantially when it arrives at this era for the reasons I have described will definately spark historical interest...Oh yes...And Nixon's resignation speech. Execs at NBC-Universal, if any of you come across this message, you guys know you want to teach this type of history to our younger television viewers to show them how they're able to enjoy a lot of the pleasures and opportunities today that were hard to come by for those youngsters in my generation. And in order to do that you must bring this series back on your fall schedule and continue it farther into the 70's decade. so please don't discontinue this outstanding program!
