(Recap From ABC)
When we last left Paul Young, he was sprawled out on the floor clutching his chest. A hospital doc says it was probably just stress. Either that or someone’s trying to poison him. This has Paul thinking nice neighbor Susan has been adding more than just spices to all those meals she’s been making for him lately. Lab tests prove that the food he’s been eating was, indeed, killing him slowly.

In an attempt to get her job back at the school, Susan offers to help out with the upcoming open house. She’s put in charge of streamers. The snooty mom in charge warns her not to confuse them with tassels. In other news, Felicia secretly adds antifreeze to the latest batch of cookies Susan makes for Paul. But when snooty mom sees the sweet treats, she snags them to serve at the open house. Uh oh.

Paul confronts Susan about all the lethal meals she’s been giving him. Obviously, she has no idea what he’s talking about. Then Susan realizes Felicia’s been providing the antifreeze additives. She beelines over to the open house. Susan has no choice but to announce to the crowd that her cookies are poison. Moments later, Paul arrives. The police are with him to arrest the woman he believes has been trying to kill him.

Tom books a surprise vacation package to Hawaii. Everyone is ecstatic. Well, everyone but Lynette. She’s been planning the family vacations for the past 16 years. This year’s camping trip was supposed to include a visit with her sister. Lynette challenges Tom to a battle of the vacations. Whoever convinces the kids that their trip is best, that’s the one they’ll take.

Lynette’s presentation boasts a cool trip to the Grand Canyon and thrilling ride on a rockin’ roller coaster. Tom’s Hawaiian presentation is also impressive until Lynette mentions all the great white sharks that infest those tropical waters. If the sharks don’t get them, the helicopter crash they’ll surely to encounter will.

When the kids scoot away to make their decision, Tom and Lynette rip into each other with a nasty war of words. It’s a pretty ugly scene that is witnessed in its entirety by a sobbing Penny. She thinks her parents are headed for divorce. Lynette and Tom agree that they need some alone time. They’ll do it this weekend. Tom just needs to check with work first. You know, this is not the Tom Scavo we used to know and love. It looks like Lynette’s starting to feel the same way.

Renee does a background check on Detective Chuck Vance after Bree makes a dinner date with him. The big news is that he’s “technically” married. The guy filed for divorce awhile ago, it just hasn’t gone through yet. Vance also checked up on Bree. Her police record made for interesting reading. Neither dater is thrilled to learn about the background checks.

The night is not going well, so Vance picks up a hooker. Fear not. He’s just giving her a ride to a shelter. Vance tries to convince the girl that she can still turn things around. If Bree made something of herself after all those years of turning tricks, she can, too. Bree is initially appalled by the lie, but plays along once she sees it’s having an effect on the hooker. As for Vance, Bree is now willing to give their first date a second shot.

For some reason, Carlos doesn’t want Juanita watching a horror flick called “Bloody Stranger II.” And it’s not because she never saw “Bloody Stranger I.” It’s because she’s having nightmares. To show Juanita she has nothing to fear, Gaby makes them sleep outside in a tent. Lee spooks the mother-daughter campers, but it’s only to prove that just because something seems scary, that doesn’t mean it IS scary. But when an unidentified figure later hovers around Wisteria Lane, we’re not so sure Lee was right.
