DING DONG! Someone's at the door at Renee's bridal shower and it's not the stripper Gaby hired. It's the police arresting Bree for the murder of Gaby's evil stepfather. Bob bails her out, but she now needs a criminal defense attorney. The cops have her fingerprint on the dead guy's shirt. It seems Bree straightened his outfit before they ditched his body. Just because dead men tell no tales, it doesn't mean they can't look spiffy.

While going through Mike's things, Susan comes across a locked box that she's never seen before. Lee offers to check it out just in case it's something she may not want to see. Apparently, that's the case. After initially keeping the contents of the box from Susan, Lee finally shows her the goods. An old checkbook reveals that Mike has been sending money to a woman for the past eight years. The painted pictures inside seem to indicate that he hid the fact that he had a secret daughter.

Actually, Mike didn't have a secret daughter at all. He had a secret sister. Her name is Laura. The checks were to provide care for her at a group home for autistic people. Susan has no idea why he would keep this from her, but Julie does. Letters in his box reveal that his mom gave Laura away for all the wrong reasons. She asked Mike to keep this secret so his family wouldn't think of her as an awful person. This entire incident has Julie thinking she doesn't want to make a decision she'll later regret. That's why she's going to keep her baby. Woo hoo!

Tom's birthday is coming up. Lynette is making a special cake as part of her plan to win him back. That's not going to be easy since Jane is pressuring Tom to finalize the divorce. To speed things along, she delivers the papers to Lynette herself. This doesn't go over well. Lynette flings spoonfuls of cake icing at her hubby's girlfriend. Jane is a mess. Looks like she's going to be late for her birthday dinner with Tom.

Lynette shows up at the restaurant to confront Tom about the divorce papers. He had no idea Jane was going to deliver them to her. Lynette just wants to know if he truly wants to end their marriage. When Tom doesn't answer, Lynette sadly signs the papers. She manages to keep it together until she gets to her car. Then the tears flow. As for Tom, he's furious with Jane for doing what she did to a woman he will always care for.

The women of Wisteria Lane agree to chip in to pay for Bree's criminal defense. With Carlos no longer providing income, Gaby must step her game in her new personal shopper position. She strikes out with the ladies, but makes lots of sales with men who are putty in her sexy, inseam-measuring hands. The more she flirts, the more they buy.

Carlos isn't thrilled with all the flirting Gaby is doing with those rich, male shoppers. He gets really upset when one of his wife's clients crashes their dinner. Things get worse after Gaby tries to pass him off as her brother. This leads to a big brouhaha in the parking lot. Carlos feels emasculated and Gaby feels unappreciated. Things between these two are strained to say the least.

Bree meets with high-powered attorney Trip Weston (guest star Scott Bakula), who is more than impressed with the orange-glazed muffins she presents to him. However, he's not impressed with the case. He calls it a snoozer. This Weston guy likes a challenge and this isn't it. He won't take the case, so Bree takes back her muffins.

Chuck's old partner, Detective Murphy, desperately wants to nail Bree for murder. He tracks down a map that Alejandro once possessed. Wisteria Lane is circled on it. Murphy writes Bree's address on the map to strengthen his case. This latest curveball has Bree truly concerned. It also has Trip Weston stepping up to be her lawyer. He says, "You may not have done this, but you sure as hell know who did." This is one very perceptive attorney.
