Synopsis:

Nick Fallin revisits a case where custody of two siblings was granted to two different families when the boy, Dale Adams, becomes very ill and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Laurie Solt is having a difficult time tracking down his 15-year-old sister, Penny, as she may be the only match for the transplant. Nick and Laurie join forces in the search, only to discover that Penny was placed with a dubious friend of her father’s and recently had a child fathered by a classmate. When she is taken into custody by the county and she and her baby are separated, she refuses to help Dale as long as she is not with her child. Meanwhile, Burton Fallin brings Nick in on a deal offered to a longtime client, whose mental state is questionable at best.
