After denying Doug Debord, a brain damaged man with violent tendencies, visitation rights to his children, Nick Fallin unknowingly jeopardizes the safety of the LSP staff. Angered by the court decision, DeBord pulls a gun on Nick and his colleagues, including Jesse Caputo, a teenage boy Nick had been helping to stay in the group home system. Lulu Olsen helps diffuse the situation but not before damage is done both to her and innocent bystanders. Meanwhile, Mary Gressler (Farrah Fawcett) returns seeking legal help from Burton Fallin after a fire destroys part of her house.
