(Recap From ABC)
Addison and Sam disagree on what to do when they discover that woman who’s been in a coma for a very long time is pregnant. She wants to call the police because someone in the hospital obviously had sex with a helpless patient. He wants to try to figure out how to best protect the woman and her adoring husband, Bob, who has stuck by her side for such a long time.

Addison is shocked to learn that Bob is the person who impregnated his wife. Again, Sam and Addison clash on what to do next. The spat spills over into the bedroom. Addison even goes so far as to say she’s withholding sex from an incredulous Sam. Bob’s wife is later rushed into surgery where she loses the baby. When Addison overhears Bob telling his comatose wife that they’ll keep trying to have a family, she finally calls the police.

Addison is shocked when Sam doesn’t go ballistic. The fact of the matter is he’s furious. But this is a work issue. It’s not something they should be fighting about at home. He’ll be mad at Addison tomorrow. But tonight he’s coming over for sex. Gotta admire a man who doesn’t bring his work home with him.

Jacob is a car accident patient with minor injuries who tries to make a hasty exit from the hospital. Pete discovers the reason Jacob wants to skedaddle is because he was in the car with a male prostitute. In a related case, Charlotte informs her patient, Angela, that she’s now well enough to finally start trying to have kids with her husband, who happens to be Jacob. Uh oh.

Charlotte wants to tell Angela about her husband’s dalliance especially after the guy’s blood test reveals he’s HIV positive. Pete wants a little time to convince Jacob to tell Angela the news himself. Along with Violet and Charlotte, Pete assures Jacob that they can help him and his wife get through this.

It’s a difficult time when Jacob introduces his wife to Evan the prostitute, who also happens to be the man he loves. As it turns out, Angela has known deep down that her husband was gay all along. They’re both grateful that everything is out in the open now. But Angela is devastated when Jacob tells her that he’s HIV positive.

Pete’s mom is in prison but Violet doesn’t know why. Pete won’t talk about her. He also keeps quiet about his estranged brother, Adam. So Violet does a Google search and discovers that Pete’s bro is a lawyer in Valencia. She wants her hubby to reach out the guy. Yeah, that’s not gonna happen.

While trick or treating with Lucas, Pete reveals to Violet what went down with his family. His mother was a drunk who was with lots of men. But there was one guy who was different. His name was Henry and he was the only man that ever cared about Pete as a kid. His mom stabbed Henry to death in a drunken rage. Pete called the police but his brother, Adam, lied about what happened to protect their mom. That’s why he doesn’t want to see the guy. Pete says, “My family is garbage and I won’t go back, okay?” Harsh.

Cooper and Charlotte are having a little tiff over the idea of having babies. Eventually Coop apologizes by bribing Charlotte with a miniature Alabama Lane Cake. We did a quick Wikipedia search to discover it’s a layered sponge cake typically filled with generous amounts of brandy and bourbon. Yum!

It’s Halloween night at the hospital which means it’s pretty darn busy. Charlotte has some administrative work to finish before she can go home to officially make up with Coop. She shuts down her computer and steps outside her office door. Someone is waiting for her.

BAM! Charlotte doesn’t have a chance as an unseen figure violently punches her in the face and stomach before hurling her back inside the office. The door closes and we fear something terrible is about to happen to Dr. Charlotte King.
