Mon, August 22, 2011

At the Martin Compound Tad worries about Cara, but is reluctant to confide in Dixie. Dixie urges Tad to open up to her; she doesn't feel threatened by Cara! Tad finally reveals how worried he is about Cara's whereabouts and fears immigration will discover their marriage is a sham if Cara leaves Pine Valley. Marissa and AJ arrive. Marissa explains she got full custody of AJ and is worried about JR. Concerned Dixie and Tad head to the Chandler mansion.

At the Chandler mansion JR asks how AJ is supposed to grow up to be a real man if lesbians raise him. Both Liza and Colby are appalled as JR continues to spew hateful language. Liza warns JR that he will lose all hope of custody if he continues to say such things and quits as his lawyer! Colby begs Liza to stay as Tad and Dixie arrive. They immediately leap into loving but firm and supportive roles. Liza and Colby leave as Dixie and Tad try to work their parental magic on JR. Dixie reminds JR that underneath the anger, he is full of love. She urges him to learn from Adam's mistakes. Tad tells JR to be the kind of father AJ needs; once that happens, Marissa will let AJ be with JR. JR agrees to break the "Chandler cycle" and allows Dixie to throw all the booze out.

Colby and Liza head to ConFusion where Colby asks Liza to represent JR again. He is going to need all the help he can get, which means the best lawyer in town. Liza can't say no to her little girl and agrees.

Tad returns to the Martin Compound where he assures Marissa that JR intends to change. Marissa wants to talk to JR, so she heads to the Chandler mansion where JR plays the role of humbled and chastised ex-husband. He apologizes for scaring both Marissa and AJ, which satisfies Marissa. As she leaves, JR grins to himself. Marissa has no idea who she is dealing with!

Meanwhile Cara kisses David passionately in his hotel room where David tries to pull the brakes on their budding romance, but Cara tells David that she doesn't think David is the devil, nor does she feel like an outsider with him. Cara kisses David again and they fall into bed to make love. Afterwards Cara says she feels a million times better; she had no idea she needed that and thanks David for saving her. David kisses her again and announces he can't let her leave Pine Valley. How about she come work for him on Project Orpheus? Cara considers the idea, much to Griffin's upset. When Griffin says that Cara can't take the job, Cara snottily reminds her brother that she is an adult, thank you very much. Later Griffin warns David to stay away from Cara, but David reminds him that Griffin left Project Orpheus. If Cara wants to work with him, no one can stop her! Griffin is convinced David is up to no good as he tells David that Zach is now singing David's praises.

In the hospital Greenlee, Ryan and Kendall are shocked when Zach voices his support and gratitude to David. After all David saved his life! The guy should be condoned, not condemned! Ryan believes David has brainwashed Zach, but Zach insists that if David helped them, then he should be able to help countless others. Griffin enters to hear Zach and sides with Ryan. David is definitely up to no good! Ryan wants to know how David was able to save Zach. Did David know Zach's plane was going to crash? Zach explains that he told David about the possibility and paid him to use the same life-saving procedures he used on Greenlee to bring Zach back. He asked David not to say anything until he was sure that Zach would survive. Ryan and Griffin remind Zach that David not only allowed Kendall to grieve, but his methods are not FDA approved. Kendall backs Zach up and asks everyone to give Zach some space. She and Greenlee head into the hallway where Greenlee warns Kendall not to let Zach become too swayed by David while inside the room, Zach warns Ryan not to oppose him. Later David arrives. Zach happily asks if David wants a partner; he would be willing to do whatever it takes to get Project Orpheus FDA approved. David gleefully shakes Zach's hand in agreement as Ryan and Greenlee watch with horror.

Cara returns to the Martin Compound where she tells Tad she changed her mind about leaving town. She tells Tad that she may leave the hospital and work on Project Orpheus. Naturally Tad is upset, but Cara explains it is for a noble cause. She would be crazy to turn this opportunity down!

Tue, August 23, 2011

At the hospital Amanda prepares to go home. She is excited to put her cancer scare behind her, but realizes she hasn't taken the time to acknowledge what this means to Jake. Jake admits that he is sad and angry that they won't be able to give Trevor a biological sibling, but wants to adopt when the time is right. He is also angry that David is walking around like a rock star when he has hurt so many people. When Amanda looks worried, Jake assures her that he is focused on their family, not on taking David down.

In another part of the hospital Griffin looks at a photo of him and Kendall. Greenlee catches him and reminds him that Kendall may still need him, especially if Zach is hell bent on supporting David's unethical research. David enters just in time to hear his name. He reminds Griffin that he could have been part of medical history, but now Cara will be taking his place. Griffin bristles at the mention of Cara and warns David again to stay away from his sister. Later Cara reports for duty, joining Griffin and David. Griffin warns Cara that David likes to emotionally manipulate people, but Cara once again informs her brother that she is capable of taking care of herself.

Down the hall Kendall helps Zach prepare to go home. However Zach picks a fight with Kendall, telling her to leave him while she can. Kendall is hurt, but realizes that Zach knows about her and Griffin. She assures him that he is her only and only. Hasn't she proven that by now? Greenlee enters and tries to get Kendall to understand that Zach wants to protect her. Kendall vows to prove that she and Zach are stronger than ever, despite Greenlee's warning that David is a pro at breaking up marriages.

Meanwhile David goes to talk to Zach. Zach wants to talk to several investors and asks who else David has saved, but David plays coy. Zach will learn all in due time. Later Griffin asks Zach to throw Cara off of Project Orpheus, but Zach refuses. If David wants to work with Cara and vice versa, that is good enough for him! However Zach bristles when David tells him that Griffin is still in love with Kendall; that could be a huge problem for them.

At the Martin Compound Cara informs Tad that she isn't going to stay at the house any longer. She isn't his responsibility any more. Tad disagrees; he cares about her and asks her to reconsider, but Cara insists on taking the Project Orpheus job with David. Tad is upset, but respects Cara's decision. He heads to the hospital where he tells Jake that Cara is staying in town because of David. Jake also hates that idea, but doesn't blame Cara for wanting some space from the Martin family. He reminds Tad that Cara is capable of making her own decisions and urges him to focus on his family. Later Cara happily accepts David's invite to dinner, which leads Tad to ask Cara if her relationship with David is purely professional. Cara admits that it isn't; she slept with David.

Krystal arrives at the Chandler mansion to talk to Dixie. Is she really staying here? Dixie explains she doesn't want to tip off immigration, not as long as Cara and Tad are still married. Besides, JR really needs her. Krystal reminds Dixie that Kathy needs her, too. Just then Kathy runs into the room and invites Dixie to a party.

Angie and Maya are in the park where Maya reveals that Mookie moved to California. Even though she broke up with him, she is sad about his departure. Angie reminds Maya that she isn't alone and together they head to the Martin Compound where Dixie has a warm reunion with Angie. Amanda and Krystal join them as Maya observes the bond between Dixie and Kathy. The women talk about their children, especially Krystal who lies awake at night thinking about Babe and Dixie, who used to dream about Kathy.

Later in the park Angie is sensitive to Maya's feelings and later asks Maya about her daughter. Maya admits she often wonders if her daughter is happy. Angie offers to ask Jesse to locate Maya's baby, but Maya doesn't want to risk Jesse's ire. Angie then tells Maya that they will look for Maya's daughter without Jesse's help, but Maya thinks that is harder than it looks. She didn't give her baby up for adoption; she abandoned her!

After the party ends, Dixie sits alone on the couch. She remembers David shining a light into her eyes, but not much else. She struggles with her memories, wondering what David did to her and why can't she remember?

Wed, August 24, 2011

At the hospital Griffin begs Kendall to help him get Cara away from David as David and Zach watch. David pours poison into Zach's ear as he whispers that Griffin is still in love with Kendall. Kendall tries to touch Griffin's arm as she asks him to trust her when she says she can't help him right now. Griffin pulls away, so Kendall returns to Zach's room where Kendall tries to defend Griffin to Zach. David snidely says Kendall can't play both sides as he leaves.

In the park Tad is stunned when Cara reveals that she slept with David. Tad knows he can't tell Cara what to do, but he is her husband. Cara sadly reminds him it's in name only. Tad unintentionally rubs salt in Cara's wound by saying he still cares very much for her. David arrives and warns Tad to back off or he will reveal that their marriage is a sham.

At the Chandler mansion JR eagerly waits for a delivery, which Dixie questions. Dixie explains that JR needs to back his words with actions, which means truly giving up the booze. JR plays the loving son card as he promises his mom that he will prove to everyone that he intends to get cleaned up. Later we see that JR is up to his old tricks. As he signs for a DVD, JR grins to himself. Let's see what the judge says when it's revealed that Bianca and Marissa made a sex tape! Apparently JR got a hold of security footage from the yacht club, especially Marissa's suite. (Creepy!)

At Krystal's Bianca and Marissa bask in their newfound closeness/happiness. Erica bursts in, oblivious to the love between Bianca and Marissa. Before Bianca has a chance to reintroduce Marissa as her girlfriend, Opal enters squealing. She hugs Erica as they catch up. Erica showers Opal and Bianca with presents, leaving very little opportunity for Bianca to talk. Erica rushes to the hospital to see Zach, leaving Bianca to grumble to Marissa that her mom can be more Erica Kane than her Mom at times. Later both Bianca and Marissa look into houses separately and dance around the subject in the park. JR enters and is about to pop the "sex tape" into Marissa's laptop, but he is stopped by Opal. JR covers, saying it's a video game for AJ, but luckily Liza realizes the truth and takes the DVD from JR. She reminds him that this could cost him custody of AJ. JR pretends to be properly chastised, but later we see he has a copy of the "sex tape."

Greenlee catches Ryan packing for a business trip, but she busts him. This trip is about David, isn't it? Ryan realizes Greenlee is afraid of what else Ryan will find out. Griffin arrives, eager to find an ally in convincing Cara to quit Project Orpheus. Greenlee advises Griffin to back off a little and frowns when Ryan tells her that David must be stopped! Ryan heads to ConFusion to talk some sense into Cara. Greenlee joins them. She warns Cara that David is the master of emotional manipulation. Take it from her because she has been there! Later Greenlee and Ryan return home where she finally blurts that David can still hurt her; he hinted that Gillian could still be alive! Ryan thinks this is yet another one of David's lies and hugs Greenlee. Alone Ryan has a memory of putting a ring on Gillian's finger, kissing her and finding her dead. He turns to see Gillian's ghost. Gillian whispers she loves him as Ryan tells her good-bye.

Erica bursts into Zach's room to touch his hair. Is he really here? (We're surprised she didn't immediately suggest a haircut and shave.) Zach tells Erica it's good to see her and that he and Kendall want to back Project Orpheus. They want to help others, especially those who David has saved. Erica expresses her skepticism and threatens to void the sale of the hospital to David. David enters and warns Erica that if she does that, she will never know who else he saved -- someone Erica loved and lost. After Kendall and Erica leave, Zach tells David that a friend of his from Washington, D.C. told him that Griffin plans to testify against Orpheus. David shakes his head; Griffin needs to be stopped!

Tad surprises Dixie as she returns from a swim. When Dixie hears that Cara is now working for David, Dixie wants to remember what David did to her. Maybe she can remember something that will convince Cara to change her mind! Dixie asks Tad to help her remember, but when the memories get too intense, Dixie starts to scream.

Thu, August 25, 2011

At Casa Slater Kendall and the boys prepare for Zach's homecoming. The boys have drawn an adorable banner that reads, "Welcome home and Go Red Wings." Kendall loves it and hangs it up as Spike asks if Dr. Griffin is coming over. Awkward.

At the hospital Zach is anxious to get sprung. Griffin arrives with Zach's discharge papers. Zach wants to talk business with the heart doctor; he wants him to head the clinic that they are establishing in that abandoned house (the one where Griffin hid while he helped Kendall prove that Ricky was a murderer, all the while helping the local neighbors with their various boo-boo's). Griffin agrees to consider it, but Zach takes things a step further. He tries to convince Griffin to return to Project Orpheus; remember, it's all about groundbreaking work! David needs Griffin! Griffin is unnerved by Zach's passion and leaves.

At Ryan's penthouse Ryan has Gillian on the brain. He assures Greenlee that he loves her and hates that David is using people's grief to control them. Greenlee compares her love for Leo to Ryan's for Gillian. She agrees that although they have loved and lost, they are happy with each other now in the present. To prove that Ryan reveals he put a bid on a new building that could house both Fusion and Cambias Industries. Later Greenlee heads to Casa Slater where Greenlee tells Kendall that she and Ryan are solid -- for now. As Kendall frets about Zach's homecoming, Greenlee realizes that Kendall is totally against Zach supporting Project Orpheus, but refuses to admit it because she wants to stand by her man.

Cara bounces into David's office. She had the chance to review Orpheus and thanks David for allowing her to be part of such an amazing project. David is thrilled, but worried that this will come between Cara and Griffin. Cara assures David that she will be able to get her brother back on board.

Ryan goes to see David and meanly asks if David has been able to bring his dead baby girl, Leora, back from the dead. She'd be about eight years old, right? We guess this is Ryan's way of showing David how it feels to tell someone that their beloved could be alive. David once again accuses Ryan of being obsessed with him because something is missing from his relationship with Greenlee. Ryan vows to take David down as Zach enters. Zach announces that if Ryan does that, then that means he will take Zach down, too. Zach reiterates his support of David and reveals he put in a counter offer on the property Ryan was looking at. Stunned by Zach's betrayal, Ryan leaves. Zach tries to prove his loyalty to David by explaining he intends to stop Griffin from going to the FDA, but David says he doesn't quite trust Zach yet. Zach replies that he doesn't trust David either, but he is committed to making Orpheus a success.

Griffin meets with Cara at Krystal's where Cara is unsuccessful at wooing Griffin back to Orpheus. Griffin, however, is deeply disturbed to see Cara so devoted to David.

Back at Casa Slater both Kendall and Greenlee worry that Project Orpheus involves some brainwashing. Greenlee certainly felt it when she returned to Pine Valley. After Greenlee leaves, Griffin arrives, looking like he saw a ghost. He tells Kendall that David has his hooks in Cara and notes that Kendall seems miserable now that Zach is back. Griffin knows there are dangerous side effects to Project Orpheus: Maria lost her memory and Greenlee married David. What if there is some mind control going on with Zach? Kendall refuses to entertain such a thought, but Griffin grabs her in an effect to make her see the truth. Unfortunately Zach walks in and he is mighty unhappy to see the doctor's hands on his wife!

At the Martin Compound Dixie struggles to remember who the other woman was on the gurney beside her. Tad thinks it was Greenlee, but Dixie shakes her head. She doesn't know what David was doing to the woman, but it was bad. Very bad. Worried Tad tries to call Cara again and confides that now that David knows about their green card marriage, he could put Cara's life in danger. Later Tad goes to talk to Cara and try to convince her to quit Project Orpheus. Cara refuses to believe that David is a bad man, even when Tad says that he is a victim of David's manipulations, too. He reminds Cara that they were just about to make their marriage real when Dixie returned. Cara tearfully tells Tad to shut up; don't make hating him harder than it already is!

Meanwhile Dixie goes to see David where she tells him he can't hurt Cara. She accuses him of being jealous of Tad. Everything Tad has, David wants, including Cara. Dixie believes that anyone who cares about Tad won't be able to care about David.

Fri, August 26, 2011

Jackson finds Erica at the dining room table looking at old photos of past loves: Travis, Mike Roy, etc. Understandably he feels a little jealous as he asks Erica why she is doing this and not taking the hospital away from David. Erica replies that ever since David hinted that he saved someone she loved and lost, she can't stop wondering who it is. Jackson kisses Erica's hand and tells her that he loves her. He knows she will do whatever she needs to do. As Erica protests, Jackson walks out. Later Opal arrives to give some advice to Erica. She misses Palmer every day and urges Erica to stop living in the past. Focus on Jackson! He is her present -- and her future. Opal fears that David is manipulating Erica again. Don't let him!

Tad arrives at the Hubbard's loft to tell Maya that he will help her find her daughter. Maya confirms that Angie knows about this and tells Tad that she left her baby in a police car.

At ConFusion Brot has a big question for Jesse; can he have his blessing to marry Natalia? Jesse is thrilled; he can't think of a finer man for his daughter! Brot thanks Jesse for his support as Jesse thanks him for everything, including hiding the secret that Lucy is really Maya's daughter. Later Brot surprises Natalia with a donut cake. He sits Natalia down and asks her to marry him. Naturally Natalia says yes. Later as Natalia admires her sparkly ring, Tad enters to ask Brot a question -- off the record. Does Brot know anything about a baby being left in a squad car? Brot lies, claiming he doesn't. After Tad leaves, Brot calls Jesse to warn him about Tad.

Zach walks in to find Griffin holding Kendall. Obviously he doesn't like what he sees. Zach proves this by asking Cara to take over his care under David. Griffin implores Cara to walk away from David; he even agrees to not go to the FDA if Cara quits Project Orpheus. Cara refuses, saying this is ground-breaking medicine that could change lives! Look at Zach and Kendall! Zach notes that Griffin didn't have a problem with Orpheus until now; he accuses Griffin of being angry that Zach is back, preventing a relationship with Kendall. Griffin and Zach almost come to blows, but Kendall and Cara pull them apart. Zach warns Griffin that he will regret it if he destroys Project Orpheus. Griffin warns Kendall that she has to get Zach away from David because right now, Zach is acting like David's puppet. Later Griffin gets a text from Kendall asking to meet. She needs to talk about Orpheus! Relieved Griffin heads to a lab where Zach steps out of the shadows -- and closes the door.

At the hospital David tells Angie that they can operate on her eyes sooner than later. Angie is thrilled because this means she will be able to see her daughter soon, but she is a little apprehensive as she feels this will leave room for more error. However David feels they need to do this before Griffin goes to the authorities. Angie advises David to come clean; if David wasn't so secretive and revealed who he has saved, people would support him. David argues that the time is not right. Look at Dixie and Zach; both weren't emotionally or physically strong enough to rejoin society. He refuses to release any of his patients until they are ready. Angie offers to help David, which surprises David. She asks if David saved Babe. David laughs harshly. If he did, he wouldn't allow her to return to JR! Angie tries again to get David to reveal where his other patients are, but they are interrupted by Jesse. David asks Jesse to keep Angie's stress level low to avoid hypertension. Otherwise she can't have the surgery.

Cara arrives at David's hotel room to tell him about the ugly scene between Zach and Griffin. David urges Cara to stay focused on Orpheus, but Cara can't resist asking the million dollar question: Does Orpheus includes any kind of mind control? Dismayed David opens the door; if Cara thinks that way, she can leave!

Angie returns home where Maya tells her how hard it was to confide in Tad. Angie is confident that Tad can find Maya's daughter. Maya feels hopeful -- so much so that she wonders if she can get her daughter back.

AT Krystal's Tad learns that there are no records of a baby being dropped off at Social Services on March 30. Jesse enters to confront Tad and asks his old friend to drop this case. Tad is bewildered until Jesse confesses that Maya's missing baby is Lucy!

Mon, August 29, 2011

Erica is taking a nap on the couch when she dreams of Mike Roy telling her that what he feels for her isn't quite love, but he does care about her. Erica challenges him to tell her what it is. Mike declares it's chemistry and kisses her. Erica wakes up and calls David, determined to learn if Mike is alive or not.

At the yacht club David pulls away from kissing Cara to check his cell phone. He ignores the call when he sees it's Erica. David tries to kiss Cara again, but she pulls away. She jokes that she only slept with him to get the goods on Orpheus. David is a little unnerved by Cara's comment as she grabs the Orpheus file and continues to read.

At the park Bianca and Marissa both finally admit that they want to move in together. Bianca worries that they may be moving too fast, but Marissa assures her that this is what she wants. Bianca heads to the penthouse to tell her mom the good news. Erica is very happy for Bianca, but can't resist complaining that she wishes Bianca hadn't chosen to shack up with Krystal's daughter. Bianca notices a copy of Mike Roy's "Raising Kane." Erica admits that David has hinted more than once that he saved someone that she once loved. She thinks it could be Mike. Bianca urges her mom not to fall for David's ploy, but it's too late. Erica can't stop thinking about Mike. How can she go on with her happy life without knowing is someone she cared about is alive?

At the Chandler mansion JR sneers at the footage of Bianca and Marissa making love. He covers when Dixie enters and tells her that he is trying to rearrange his calendar to accommodate daily AA meetings. After JR leaves the room, Dixie calls Marissa to ask her to bring AJ over. Dixie turns to see JR standing there. She hopes JR isn't angry, but JR hugs her instead. Later Marissa arrives without AJ. JR is angry to hear that AJ was too scared to see him and that Marissa plans to get a place with Bianca. JR worries that the kids at school will make fun of AJ for living with his mom and her girlfriend. Has Marissa considered what living without a father will do to AJ? Offended Marissa declares that JR will never get custody of AJ, not when he is being so hateful. JR opens his laptop and shows Marissa the sex tape he doctored. Marissa won't have custody either if this gets leaked. Marissa glares at JR; how can he be so cruel?

Frankie is examining Dixie as she admits she doesn't remember what David did to her. Frankie suggests that Dixie consult a hypnotherapist, but warns her that the memories could be gone for good due to her traumatic experience. Erica arrives and asks for a moment alone with Dixie. She gently tries asks if Dixie remembers David's other patients. Dixie tells Erica about the woman lying beside her. She thought it was Greenlee, but now remembers seeing a bracelet with the letter "B" on it. Later Erica stops by David's office where she offers to put a good word in with the FDA for him if he tells her about his other patients. Naturally David refuses and leaves. Erica sees her chance and quickly photocopies a list of facilities from the Orpheus file.

Frankie asks Cara where Griffin is. He missed a few of his appointments today. Cara shares that Griffin hasn't been picking up his phone. She tries to act casual, but you can tell she is very worried.

At the Hubbard loft Maya reveals that not only would she love to find her daughter, she also wants her back. She knows it's not fair to her baby's adoptive parents, but she deeply regrets abandoning her baby. Angie insists that Maya has some rights. Maya doesn't think so. She admits she left her baby in a cop car and worries that Jesse will arrest her if he found out. Angie doesn't think that would happen and urges Maya to trust Jesse.

Meanwhile Tad tracks Jesse to the park where he asks once again why Jesse said Lucy wasn't his real daughter. Jesse breaks down and admits that Ellie was his real daughter, who was stillborn. After Angie lost her eyesight to give birth, Jesse couldn't let her lose their daughter, too. So he took another baby -- Maya's baby -- and gave her to Angie. Tad urges Jesse to tell Angie the truth, but he will let Jesse do it when he is ready. Later Tad tells Maya that he can't work on her case anymore. He says that Angie and Jesse are good people with huge hearts. Maya looks at Tad curiously. Why is he telling her this?

Jesse returns home where Angie tells him that she promised Maya that they would help her find her baby. Jesse groans and admits there is something he needs to tell Angie.

Tue, August 30, 2011

Kendall returns home to find Zach back from whatever he did to Griffin. Ryan and Greenlee arrive to confront Zach for buying a building out from under Ryan, but Zach explains that he wanted that space for Project Orpheus. However, both Ryan and Greenlee see this is a betrayal of some sorts; they accuse Zach of choosing David over them. Kendall pulls Zach aside to question the necessity of this. Zach snaps; stop questioning him! He reminds her that this is part of the plan and reveals yet another secret that we don't hear. Kendall isn't sure she wants to do "this," but Zach urges her to believe in him.

At the hospital David finds Cara leaving yet another message for Griffin wondering where he is and why he hasn't returned her phone calls. Cara gets hit with a dizzy spell and runs off to talk to Kendall. David follows her into the hallway where he overhears Dixie asking for Griffin. David offers to examine her and Dixie reluctantly agrees with the hope that something will trigger her memory. As David listens to Dixie's heart, she has a flashback where she sees David standing over a woman wearing a bracelet with a B on it. When Dixie asks David about it, he denies it, so Dixie grabs him, demanding to know the truth. Tad walks in, furious to see Dixie with David. Dixie tries to explain, but Tad storms out.

Cara arrives at Casa Slater looking for Griffin. She has a feeling something bad happened to him. As Kendall assures Cara that Griffin is probably fine, Ryan quietly asks Zach if he did something to Griffin. Cara then gets a mysterious email from Griffin, explaining he rejoined Doctors Without Borders and he won't report David to the FDA. Hm, something smells fishy. Later Greenlee and Ryan try to get Kendall to see that David is controlling Zach. Kendall denies it, but finally admits she hates that Zach is backing David.

At Krystal's Maya demands to know if Tad found out anything about her baby. Tad pretty much begs her to stop looking for her daughter and leaves. Maya heads to the park to mope where she encounters Randi and Frankie struggling to feed Lucy. Lucy stops fussing the moment Maya picks her up and Maya hopes her own baby is as sweet as Lucy is.

Angie is tense as Jesse holds her hands and admits he has something important to tell her. He reminds her how much he loves her before dropping the biggest bomb ever: their daughter is dead. Angie scrambles for the phone, thinking that something happened to Lucy, but Jesse stops her. He explains that Ellie was stillborn and did everything he could to save her. So he switched her with another baby. Anguished Angie demands proof, so Jesse takes her to the park, where Ellis is buried. Heartbroken Angie kneels and tries to touch the dirt, but she can't believe her child is in the ground. She claws at the dirt with her hands, screaming that she wants her baby back as Jesse holds her. Angie then apologizes to Ellie for never getting the chance to hold her as she collapses onto the ground, crying.

Zach stops by David's office where David asks Zach what happened to Griffin. He doesn't believe that Griffin would leave so abruptly. Zach deflects the question and then finally says that David doesn't want to know what he did.

Cara walks into Tad and Dixie's fight as Tad rages that he can't believe Dixie would let David touch her after everything he has done to her. Dixie sees Cara and excuses herself. Tad recovers his composure and reminds Cara that they have an immigration interview today. To his surprise, Cara says she isn't going.

Wed, August 31, 2011

At the hospital Tad continues to beg Cara to reconsider attending their immigration interview, but Cara refuses. Dr. Merbs enters with Agnes (Nixon!) who is seriously ill. David makes her his top priority; without Agnes' kindness and generosity, Pine Valley wouldn't be on the map! Cara gets on the case. After learning that Agnes had some canned huckleberries, Cara determines it's botulism. After Agnes gets the necessary medication, she begins to feel much better. David enters to check on Agnes, who says she saw David's father. You know that light everyone talks about when they are near death? Agnes saw David's father and he asked her to give David a message. He is worried about David's choices and urges him to make different ones. Later Agnes asks David how she can repay Cara for saving her life. David tells her about Cara's immigration status, so Agnes -- who has friends in high places--arranges for Cara to get her green card.

Dixie arrives at the Martin Compound to check on Tad. She is afraid that Tad is angry with her for ruining his chance with Cara. Tad chides Dixie; her return was the best thing that happened to him. However, seeing David with Dixie brought back some bad memories. He assures Dixie that he has forgiven her, but finds it hard to forget. Dixie wants to hash out their issues; it's the only way they are going to have a real relationship moving forward. And this time she is determined to get it right. As Tad talks, Dixie bursts into tears. She feels like she has hurt Tad so much when all he has done is love her! Cara rushes in with the good news: she has her green card! Tad is stunned as Cara says she will move out as soon as she finds a place to live. Cara kisses Tad on the cheek and leaves, pausing to sadly remove her wedding ring.

At Krystal's Marissa tells Bianca that JR is blackmailing her. Bianca can't believe it, but assures Marissa that they will fight JR together. When Marissa expresses regret at involving Bianca in this mess, Bianca assures her that they deserve to love each other without judgment or shame. Besides Bianca is a no stranger to tabloid fodder. So bring it on, JR!

At the Chandler mansion JR arrogantly tells Scott that he is skipping the Chandler Enterprises board meeting to prepare for AJ's homecoming. He has a secret weapon! Scott soon learns that JR's secret weapon is a doctored sex tape of Marissa and Bianca. Scott tells JR that this will only hurt AJ, but JR insists that AJ can't be raised by lesbians. Colby enters and is appalled to learn of JR's plans. Liza arrives to work on AJ's custody case, but Colby stops her. Liza quits when she learns JR has multiple copies of Marissa and Bianca having sex. She tells Colby that JR promised to bring Colby closer to Liza if Liza helped him get custody of AJ. Furious Colby tells JR that she plans to move out and back in with her mother. JR doesn't care; he doesn't need any of them since AJ will be coming home soon. Later Marissa and Bianca arrive without AJ. They tell JR to go ahead and publish that sex tape. When AJ asks about it, Marissa intends to tell him exactly how it came to be.

At the park Angie weeps over baby Ellie's grave. She asks Jesse to tell her about their stillborn daughter. Jesse tearfully describes Ellie: light as a butterfly with Angie's dimples. He says he couldn't bear to tell Angie that Ellie was dead, so when Lucy appeared -- at the moment they lost Ellie -- Jesse placed Lucy in Angie's arms. He was convinced it was a sign! Angie asks who left Lucy. Jesse reveals Lucy was left in a box without identification. Angie puts two and two together: Is Lucy Maya's daughter? Jesse tearfully confesses that he knew for a long time that Maya is Lucy's mother. Angie realizes that Maya is going to want Lucy back. Jesse suggests they go home, but Angie refuses to leave Ellie. She needs to stay here and tell her daughter how much she loves her.

Thu, September 01, 2011

At Erica's penthouse Erica shows Opal the list of facilities that she stole from David's office. Look, the initials MR are beside this place in LA. Erica thinks Mike Roy could be alive and well in California! Jackson enters and hopes that Opal can talk Erica out of chasing the ghosts of her past. He suggests Erica go to LA to promote the new book, "Erica Kane: Uncensored." Erica's eyes light up at the possibility. Okay, she'll go!

At the Chandler mansion JR prepares to release the doctored sex tape of Marissa and Bianca. Dixie enters to regretfully tell JR that the board at Chandler Enterprises voted him out. JR snaps; he can't think about business right now. He needs to get his son back!

At Krystal's Bianca comforts Marissa by holding her hand. AJ notices and places his hand on tops of theirs. Tad enters and Marissa tells him that JR is threatening to release the sex tape to blackmail Marissa into giving AJ to JR. After Tad leaves, Bianca shows Marissa a house for sale on the Internet. Together with AJ and the girls, Bianca and Marissa check the house out. They love it, but sadly, it has a "sold" sign on the front door. Bianca makes a quick call and learns the sale fell through. After another series of calls, the house is theirs! Now all Marissa and Bianca need is a white picket fence and a puppy.

Tad arrives at the Chandler mansion to tell Dixie about JR's plan to release the sex tape. JR defends his actions, saying he has to save AJ. Dixie shows JR a photo of himself and Adam when JR was AJ's age. She appeals to the lost little boy inside of JR; what does JR want to pass onto AJ? Dixie urges JR to let go of the anger that Adam left him and Tad urges JR to think of little AJ's innocence. Dixie encourages JR to stop attacking Marissa and pull his life together. Upset JR grabs his laptop and leaves. He interrupts Bianca and Marissa telling AJ, Miranda and Gabby about their new house. JR bitterly gives Marissa the sex tape. Although he isn't going to release it, he does plan to get AJ back some other way.

Jesse kneels beside a sleeping Angie, who spent the night beside Ellie's grave. Jesse wants to take Angie home, but Angie refuses to leave Ellie. She says that she saw their daughter, looking so peaceful, as if she was dreaming of Angie. Angie sobs, why did this happen? She looks up to ask God to tell Ellie that her mother loves her. She vows to try to celebrate other mothers' good fortune, but hopes she will be able to hold Ellie for the first time in Heaven. Jesse wipes the tears from his eyes; amen! Later Angie and Jesse return home where Jesse volunteers to tell Maya about Lucy. Angie stops him; she thinks she should do it. Later Maya enters to find Angie holding Lucy close to her. Maya is concerned; is something wrong with Lucy? Angie starts to weep. Uh, Lucy is actually hers. Confused Maya sits as Angie tells her the long, sad story of Ellie. Maya is afraid to hold Lucy, but Angie reminds her that Lucy knew her from the beginning. Angie bravely asks Lucy is she wants to go to Mommy and hands the baby over. Angie then asks Maya to stay until she finds a place. Maya gratefully agrees as Angie explains their place wouldn't feel like a home without them.

At the hospital David brings flowers to Agnes. He thanks her for helping Cara as Agnes urges David to think about what his father said: Leave God's work to God. David is taken aback because he firmly believes that Project Orpheus is the most important research of his life.

Erica bumps into David and tells him that she doesn't care if David is keeping all her old loves; she is very happy with Jack. David rolls his eyes and walks away. Erica pulls out the list of facilities and stuffs it into the trash. However after a sweet visit with Agnes, Erica retrieves the list, thanks to a message from Mona (delivered via Agnes): Be satisfied with her life in Pine Valley. Later Erica meets with Opal at ConFusion to ask her to come to LA with her. Opal clearly disapproves. Jackson arrives. What is going on? Opal covers, saying she needs to pack as Erica sits on Jackson's lap to tell him how much she loves him.

Jesse also heads to the hospital where he tells Brot that Angie now knows the truth about Lucy. And soon, Maya will, too. Brot offers to take the full blame for everything, but Jesse says it's all right. Angie knows everything. Jesse then goes to see David to cancel Angie's surgery; she is too stressed right now and her blood pressure is too high. Later Jesse returns home to fine Angie sitting with Maya, who is holding Lucy.

At the Martin Compound Cara tells Tad that she plans to get a room at the yacht club as soon as possible. Since Tad gave her the perfect marriage, she wants to give him the perfect divorce -- quick and painless. Tad protests slightly, saying Cara can stay as long as she likes, but Cara explains the sooner she is out on her own, the sooner Tad and Dixie can explore their relationship. Tad thanks Cara for being such a wonderful person and for pulling him out of his rut. Cara thanks Tad for saving her life, helping her get over Jake and seeing the possibilities in her life. She doesn't know what will happen next for her, but she is excited. Tad hugs Cara and she gives him a sweet kiss. They vow to stay friends, even though Cara asks for some time and space to get there. Later Krystal has a nice moment with Cara. She thanks Cara for putting the sparkle back in Tad's eyes and notes that Cara looks tired. Cara admits she has been feeling tired lately and heads to the hospital where David catches her taking her own blood pressure. Cara reveals she has been feeling unwell and wonders if her cancer has returned.

Erica arrives at Casa Slater to ask Zach what else he has on David. Zach warns Erica to stay out of this. He insists he is not protecting David, but her. Zach warns Erica not to fall for everything David says. They are dealing with something really big here, bigger than bringing Zach and Dixie back from the dead. He urges her to go to LA. Do whatever she wants, just stay away from David!

Opal tells Krystal that her childhood sweetheart Sam is coming to town and wants to see her. Unfortunately she will be in LA with Erica. Krystal gets Opal to realize that it would be a shame to miss Sam, so Opal tells Erica that she is staying in Pine Valley. Erica doesn't mind -- as long as Opal doesn't tell anyone the real reason she is flying to LA. Later Zach arrives at the airport to make sure Erica gets on her plane. He tells her to come back soon -- or else she will miss all the fun. (Hm, what does Zach mean by that?)

Jesse returns home to find Angie sitting on the couch with Maya and Lucy. He realizes that Maya now knows that Lucy is hers and he apologizes to her. Maya can't be angry with him since she abandoned her baby. She is happy that Lucy ended up in a loving home. Frankie arrives, asking why Angie's eye surgery was postponed. Jesse tells Frankie about Ellie and the truth about Lucy. Frankie is sorry that Ellie is dead. He wants to visit her grave. Frankie looks at Lucy. What happens now?

Angie is upset that Jesse postponed her surgery without consulting her and has Jesse take her to the hospital to talk to David. David is sorry to hear about Ellie; he knows the pain of losing a child. He believes he could have saved Leora if Joe had allowed him in the operating room. David studies Angie; if she believes she is ready for surgery, he will do it. Angie nods. Book the OR!

Meanwhile Jesse meets up with Tad to tell him that Angie's surgery has been postponed because she now knows the truth about Lucy. He fears he and Angie will never be the same again. Tad assures Jesse that what he has with Angie is true love.

Back at the Hubbard loft Frankie apologizes to Maya for pushing her to work for his parents. Maya tells him not to be sorry; she reiterates that she is happy Lucy ended up with a good family. When Frankie asks what happens next, Maya admits she adores the Hubbard's, but she now that she found Lucy, she can't give her up. Later Tad arrives to check on Maya. Maya doesn't know if she should leave the Hubbard's or not. Tad says that only Maya can make that decision.

Erica is waiting for her flight to LA when Verla Grubbs (Carol Burnett!) approaches. Verla recognizes Erica, but Erica doesn't know Verla. Verla invites Erica to be a guest on her show "The Wild and Wacky World of Verla Grubbs." Erica realizes that Verla is Langley's daughter and Myrtle's dear friend. It's funny that they have never met before. Verla tells Erica that she is returning to Pine Valley for a class reunion and hopes to win Sam Brady back. Erica tells Verla that it's Opal's turn with Sam since Verla broke them up all those years ago. Verla huffs; Sam was her man first! She disinvites Erica to appear on her talk show as Erica orders her to stay away from Opal's man!

At the hospital Tad keeps Jesse company while Angie is in surgery. Jesse frets that he will lose Angie; because of his decisions, Angie will lose two babies: Ellie and Lucy. Jesse honestly thought he did the right thing by giving Lucy to Angie. Tad advises Jesse to let Angie mourn the loss of both daughters. He also reminds Jesse that Angie loves him; she would never leave him! Frankie and Randi arrive to give moral support to Jesse. Both Randi and Frankie assure Jesse that Angie will be okay -- and will forgive him someday. Randi, especially, understands why Jesse did what he did. Later Jake and Krystal arrive to hug Jesse. Jesse appreciates everyone's concern, but he really wants to be alone. Everyone leaves, but Tad. Frankie returns to say Angie is out and doing well.

Down the hall Cara voices her suspicions to David that her cancer is back. Concerned David begins to ask her questions, but Cara freaks out and leaves. Before David can chase after Cara, Zach enters. They need to talk about Ryan! Zach tries to get David to tell him who the other Orpheus patients are so he can keep Ryan off of their trail. Again David refuses. Frustrated Zach reminds David that he can trust him. He claims he will take care of Ryan the same way he took care of Griffin.

Cara bumps into Jake in the hallway. Jake congratulates her on getting her green card, but notices that something is bothering her. David approaches and tells Jake to back off of Cara. Cara diffuses the situation by dragging David into his office to talk about a "patient." Alone Cara asks David to keep her health a secret, especially from Tad and Jake. Pleased, David tells Cara that he will help her if her cancer has returned. He will use Orpheus if he needs to. Wary Cara agrees, but only if she can choose her course of treatment.

Greenlee joins Kendall at ConFusion where she reveals she bought a little something to help her rekindle her romance with Ryan. Kendall confesses she and Zach haven't had the second honeymoon that she had hoped for. It seems all Zach and Ryan can think about is David. When Kendall says she wants her life back -- the one before Zach "died" -- Greenlee says it will take time. She should know; she was once in Zach's shoes. After Greenlee leaves, Kendall calls Zach, hoping that he will make some time for romance.

At Krystal's Krystal confides in Ryan that David hinted that Babe is alive. She doesn't want to hope, but she can't help it. Ryan tells her not to fall for David's trap; because of Orpheus, David is going to get people who never trusted him to trust him. Jackson enters and shares that David hinted to Erica that one of her old loves is still alive. Krystal hates to be a tattle tale, but she tells Jackson that Erica flew to LA to look for Mike Roy.

Upset Jackson heads to the airport where he interrupts Erica's reverie -- the one where she tells Jackson and Mike that she wishes she could morph them into one man. Surprised Erica is pleased to see Jackson, but her smile fades when Jackson asks if she intends to look for Mike in LA. Erica assures Jackson that he is the man for her, so Jackson lets her go.

Zach arrives home to find Kendall dressed in a blue dress, surrounded by candles and a home cooked meal. She tells Zach that she has missed him. Kendall reiterates how much she hates Zach's involvement with David, but Zach reminds her that she said she was on board. He pulls out her wedding ring and places it on her finger. Kendall smiles and they make love. Afterwards, Zach lovingly tells Kendall that she is the woman in his heart -- and then he abandons her in bed to take a phone call.

Meanwhile Greenlee returns home to find the penthouse decorated in a tropical theme, including a palm tree. Ryan says that since they couldn't fly to Hawaii, he brought Hawaii to her. He also gives her tickets to Alaska for a future trip. Greenlee dons the sexy lingerie that she purchased and she and Ryan make love. Afterwards Greenlee confesses she is scared at what David will do to Ryan if Ryan continues to go after David, but Ryan assures her that he will stay safe.

In the hospital Angie wakes up with bandages over her eyes. She tells Jesse and David that she dreamed of two little girls playing together. David warns them that Angie's recovery will take time. First she will see shadows, then blurry images that will eventually sharpen in detail.

At the Martin Compound Opal -- dressed in a killer sparkly green dress -- prepares to attend the Pine Valley high school reunion and to see Sam Brady again. Krystal and Dixie give her encouragement as Opal nervously chirps, "Don't wait up for me!" Krystal hopes that Opal doesn't get her heart broken tonight. People change over the years! Dixie nods, confessing that she doesn't know how to get back on track with Tad. She explains she allowed David to examine her with the hopes it would jog her memory, but Tad saw them and got very upset. When Krystal admits that she had hoped David had saved Babe, Dixie tells her that there was a woman lying beside her in David's lab. She doesn't remember the woman's face, but she wore a bracelet with the letter "B" on it. Krystal sits up; as much as she wants to believe her daughter is alive, she knows that she is not. Dixie is sorry she can't tell Krystal more, but Krystal urges Dixie to focus on the present, namely rekindling her relationship with Tad. She encourages Dixie to remember how much fun she and Tad had together, which gives Dixie an idea.

At Krystal's Tad confides to Jake that he doesn't want to mess up his fourth chance with Dixie. Jake advises Tad to put the past to rest and focus on the present. That is what he and Amanda do. Tad knows if he and Dixie mess this up, then this is it for them. Later Tad is startled when Dixie enters Krystal's dressed in a chicken suit!

Ryan and Zach are dragged into the police station arguing at the top of their lungs. Apparently Zach pulled a gun on Ryan when he caught Ryan breaking into one of David's warehouses. Zach then tried to kidnap Ryan, but luckily they were pulled over by Brot. While Brot pulls Ryan into the interrogation room, David arrives. David begs Zach to stop with the drastic measures as he has two more patients that are close to recovery. David doesn't want anyone, especially Ryan, to mess that up! Zach reiterates that he is devoted to David's work and will do anything to make sure David's work is completed. David studies Zach's face. What did Zach do to Griffin? Zach orders David to keep Ryan in lock-up for five more hours and asks David to trust him as he leaves.

Opal enters ConFusion where she sees Sam. His face lights up when he sees Opal and they reminisce about Sam dancing with Verla. Verla enters and quickly pounces on Sam, much to Opal's disgust. Opal tries to pull Sam away, but Verla reveals that Sam has invented a device that sounds very much like Space Bags. Verla calls him the "pillow sucking" king because his invention takes many pillows and compresses them into the size of a notebook. Sam wants to know more about Opal's life, but Verla interrupts with her news that she has a reality TV show -- that needs funding. Sam gently declines the opportunity to invest in Verla's show as he explains that he came back to see Opal. Embarrassed Verla wishes Opal and Sam the best. Later Sam admits he has been thinking about Opal a lot and invites her to come to Hawaii with him. Opal squeals and hugs Sam, who beams. We guess that means yes!

Frankie and Jesse bring Angie home, where they discover Maya and Lucy are gone. Jesse fears that Maya left without saying good-bye, but Maya soon returns. She is sorry they gave Angie a scare and explains she would never leave like that. Maya places Lucy in Angie's arms to assure her that she doesn't plan to rip Lucy out of the Hubbards' lives, but she does intend to leave sometime soon.

At the hospital Amanda finds Jake in the lounge with some paperwork. She lightheartedly complains of having hot flashes, etc. as a result of early menopause (thanks to her hysterectomy). Jake asks if Amanda wants to go somewhere and Amanda nods. But first she wants to know what Jake is reading. Jake says it's business and wants to talk about it elsewhere.

David catches Cara passing some of her patients to another doctor. Cara fears her cancer is back and tries to leave, but David wants to go with her. He offers to take her to Manhattan for dinner, but they end up in the park where Cara coaxes David into helping her dig a hole in the ground. She shows him four little dolls, called "trouble dolls." They represent cancer, missing Griffin, living situation (as in she doesn't have a place to stay) and family (the one she hopes to have and probably won't have). Cara asks David to name some of his troubles, but Jake and Amanda interrupt. Jake snarks that David would need a couple dozen of dolls. As Jake moves off with Trevor, Amanda urges Cara to keep the faith -- something wonderful is going to happen to her! Cara's phone rings and she sees it's the hospital. Her results must be in. However, the call ends up being about one of Cara's patients. To distract herself, Cara invites David to lie down on the ground with her and look at cloud shapes. David humors Cara and joins her. He sees an alligator while she sees a puppy with a sock in its mouth. Later Cara decides they need to return to the hospital and face her fears, but ends up staying in the park with David.

Amanda, Jake and Trevor find a place to talk. Jake reveals that the paperwork he was looking at earlier was adoption papers. He wants to start the process -- if Amanda is open to it. Although the children won't have their eyes or hair, at least they will have their hearts.

Scott enters the Chandler living room, livid that the house is in foreclosure. They are going to live on the street unless JR listens to him! Scott offers to let JR stay at the Gatehouse until they get the mansion back, but JR refuses. Madison enters with a housewarming gift -- a microwave. They are about to return to the Gatehouse when Marissa enters. She tells JR that AJ wants to see him at the father/son breakfast. JR yells at Marissa, who points out that everything is falling apart: Chandler Enterprises voted JR out, he is losing the house and won't see his son unless he gets his act together. Colby enters, angry. Liza just told her their house is in foreclosure and they have to get out by next week! Colby goes to call their dad, but JR grabs the phone and throws it. However that doesn't stop Colby from calling Brooke and asking for help.

Madison and Scott head to Krystal's where Madison apologizes for shutting him out after Sara's death. Scott accepts her apology. Madison can't believe how different Scott and JR are. Scott says it's because of his dad's influence. Once Stuart Chandler got under your skin, it was hard to forget him. Madison smiles; that is why she cancelled her date today. She couldn't stop thinking about Scott!

Tad is amused when Dixie enters Krystal's in a chicken costume. Dixie says this is her way of saying she truly wants to be with him and how much she treasures him. Tad laughs as Dixie flaps her wings and says they have reservations at ConFusion. Tad gestures to Dixie's outfit. Is she going out dressed like that? Dixie grins; is Tad being "chicken"? (Ha.) Later they arrive at ConFusion to lots of stares and smiles. Dixie begins to itch and struggles to remove her suit. Tad grabs the zipper and realizes it's stuck! Suddenly Dixie jumps; something is biting her inside of the suit! (Ew!) Tad runs out and returns with an umbrella. He tries to jimmy the umbrella into the suit, but a cop comes over to arrest Tad for umbrella theft! Later Krystal joins Dixie and Tad at the station where she cuts Dixie out of the bug-infested suit. Dixie goes to talk to JR while Krystal drops a bomb on Tad: she would like to move out! Tad understands, but he is going to miss her.

Dixie learns that JR may lose the mansion and returns to the Martin Compound where she tells Tad that she offered JR a place to stay. Tad says their door is always open to their son. Dixie stops; "their" home? Tad admits that Krystal is moving out and asks Dixie to move in. Dixie is still unsure, so Tad dons the chicken suit and clucks his way into the living room. He reminds her that he proposed wearing a chicken suit and now wants to ask her to come home. Please move in with him! Dixie smiles. How can a girl say no?

At the hospital David worries that Cara's cancer may have returned. Zach interrupts David's reverie to say that he hopes Ryan will learn to stay away from Orpheus. He urges David to do whatever it takes to finish his work. David, however, wants to know what happened to Griffin; Cara needs her brother! David becomes alarmed when Zach grimly says he did what he had to do to get rid of Griffin.

Greenlee arrives to bail Ryan out of jail. Jesse warns Ryan to leave David and Zach alone, but Ryan insists that the Orpheus experimentation/research is illegal. Jesse reminds Ryan that there is no proof, so Ryan vows that if Jesse isn't going to do something about it, he will! Later Jesse follows Greenlee and Ryan to Krystal's where Jesse warns them again to stop investigating Orpheus. Greenlee insists that David is controlling Zach and her point is proven when Zach enters to reiterate his mantra: protect Project Orpheus at all costs because nothing is more important than David's work! Greenlee snarls that she is beginning to regret bringing Zach home to Kendall. Zach retorts that Greenlee should have never married Ryan.

In the lounge Cara is about to open her oncology results when Jake walks in. She hides it from him as Amanda enters. Amanda is discouraged after speaking with an adoption counselor; she feels like they don't have a shot! Cara offers to put Amanda and Jake in touch with Many Nation, One Hope -- an organization that relocates children orphaned by the war. Amanda and Jake thanks Cara, but she merely reminds them that life is short and precious. After they leave, David enters. He wants to take Cara somewhere private to read her oncology results. Cara's hands shake as she wishes Griffin was here. He is her rock! David promises to find Griffin, which confuses Cara. She thought Griffin was with Doctors without Borders. Is there something David knows about her brother that she doesn't? David covers; he merely wants to get Griffin's exact location!

In Los Angeles Erica is frustrated when her search for Mike Roy reaches a dead end. The warehouse where she thought Mike was being held is abandoned. Opal surprises Erica with a visit, explaining she is in LA for a layover with Sam. Disappointed and frustrated Erica knocks over a life-size cutout of herself in the book store where she is promoting her newest memoir. As Erica explains her frustrations with Opal, Sam interrupts with some good news. He called some old electrician buddies and one of them worked in that warehouse. His friend said that the building was owned by "Orpheus." Erica leaves the bookstore to snoop around the building, but she is caught by a maintenance guy. Erica asks the man if Mike was there, but the man insists he never heard of him. Later Erica returns to the bookstore where a man watches and listens to her phone conversation with David. Erica blasts David for sending her on a wild goose chase. Exasperated David tells Erica he tried to do something nice for her, but he is sorry. Mike is dead. Erica continues to rip into David as Opal applauds her. After Erica hangs up the phone, Erica decides to return home, but is soon approached by a stranger named Sterling. He offers to make a movie out of her life, which intrigues Erica.

David returns to Cara where he asks her to slap him silly the next time he wants to do something nice for Erica. Cara excuses herself to read her results alone as Greenlee begs David to do something to stop Zach before Ryan and Zach destroy each other.

Meanwhile Ryan and Jesse head to the park where Jesse continues to coax Ryan to back off of David. Ryan seems to agree -- until Jesse wants to bring him back to the police station to calm down. Ryan throws Jesse on the ground and sprints away as Jesse calls after him.

Zach heads to one of David's labs where he wheels a body covered by a sheet on a gurney into a room. Greenlee and David arrive and see the body. Greenlee demands to know who is under the sheet. David quickly explains he never intended for anyone to get hurt as Zach scoffs; David wanted Zach to do whatever he had to in order for Orpheus to survive! Greenlee pulls the sheet off of the gurney to reveal Griffin -- cold and lifeless -- as Ryan enters. Zach admits to killing Griffin as David looks sick. Zach feels that Griffin's life is a small price to pay in order to save millions of others. David insists this is not what he wanted as Zach says Orpheus comes first, no matter what. Zach pulls out a gun and Ryan lunges at him. Suddenly the gun fires -- who was shot?

Back at the hospital Cara is about to read her oncology results when Amanda and Jake enter to thank Cara again for her help. After they leave, Cara takes a deep breath and opens the envelope. She gasps; her cancer isn't back. She is pregnant!

In Los Angeles, Sterling continues to coax Erica into making a film about her life. In fact he wants her to star in it as herself. When Erica seems reluctant, Sterling vows to commit to her and this film if Erica does. Sterling is very convincing as he says Erica is the brightest star and will outshine them all. To further prove his point, Sterling takes Erica to Hollywood and Vine where Sterling offers Erica the use of his private jet to fly back and forth from Pine Valley. Erica laughs; she used to tell her mother that she was meant for more glamorous places than Pine Valley and here she is! Sterling asks for the privilege to tell Erica's story as they walk over Susan Lucci's Hollywood Star. They return to the bookstore where Sterling says that Erica deserves to have her story told to a larger audience. As he turns to leave, Erica smiles. She is in!

Jesse and Frankie return home to find Angie on the couch with Lucy. She is reluctant to let Lucy go, even to go to her follow-up appointment. Maya and Frankie promise that they will be waiting for Angie with Lucy when Angie returns. Alone Maya and Frankie fold clothes as Frankie tries to convince her to stay with his parents. Maya says that Frankie is being selfish; staying with his parents is not helping them. Frankie finally reveals how he blames himself for causing Angie so much pain and begs Maya not to take Lucy away from his mother.

Jesse and Angie head to the hospital where Angie lets him know that they are not okay. She still can't see and laments their life is but a shadow of what it used to be. Jesse wants to make things right, but he can't stop Maya from moving out. Angie knows Jesse wants her forgiveness, but she can't do that right now. She intimates that she has been blind not just in the physical sense; how could she not realize that Lucy wasn't Ellie? Jesse reminds Angie that Ellie lived in her for nine months; she knew Angie loved her. However, there isn't anything Jesse can do about Lucy. Later they learn that if Angie doesn't see anything by this week, then the operation didn't work. Later Jesse gets called away and Angie returns home where Maya tells her that Frankie tried to convince her to stay. Angie urges Maya to search her heart and do what she needs to do. She opens up her arms and Maya gratefully embraces her.

Cara joins Kendall at Krystal's where she tells her that she is pregnant. Kendall is shocked. She is thrilled for Cara, but who is the father? Is it Tad? Cara smiles tentatively. David is the father. Kendall doesn't want to rain on Cara's parade, but she warns Cara about David's obsessive tendencies with children. When Cara expresses skepticism, Kendall urges her to talk to Krystal or Dixie. Cara resists Kendall's advice as Kendall says there are no happy endings with David; someone always gets hurt. Kendall knows Cara doesn't like what she is saying, but promises to be there for Cara. Cara stands to leave, but Kendall gets a text. She tells Cara that there is something she might want to see.

Zach and Ryan wrestle over the gun until it fires. Ryan falls to the floor clutching his chest as Zach glares at him. Greenlee runs to Ryan as David tries to help Ryan. Ryan refuses to let David touch him; he doesn't want to become a monster like Zach. David may have saved Zach's life, but he lost his soul in the process. Greenlee goes to call 9-1-1, but Zach grabs her phone and smashes it. He refuses to sacrifice Project Orpheus to save Ryan! David tells Zach he went too far; first Griffin and now Ryan! He refuses to have another death on his hands! David insists he didn't want any of this as Zach raises his gun to kill Greenlee. They can't have her blabbing about Ryan and Griffin's deaths to the authorities! David leaps in front of the gun; he knew he was right to let Zach's casino partners kill Zach! He admits he was a silent partner and knew they wanted to kill Zach the moment they hired Ricky Torres. Zach can't believe it; David knew they were going to kill him, but he thought Greenlee was on the plane, so he was in California to save her. David reminds Zach that he saved him instead. Zach raises the gun and fires. Who is going to save David? David clutches his chest, but there's no blood. Nothing! Stunned he turns when Greenlee reveals a tape recorder, Griffin sits up and Ryan stands up. It was all a ruse, meant to catch David! Hurt David thinks it's unfortunate they can't see past their petty grievances to see the greatness of his work. David begins to leave, but his departure is prevented by Kendall and Cara's arrival. Greenlee demands to know who else David has saved, but David refuses to talk. He will be taking that secret to his grave. Jesse arrives. He begs to differ!

At the Martin Compound Tad finds Krystal in the living room in the middle of the night making a list. Except the list is empty except for the title "The Future." Krystal explains that she needs to move out soon or she never will. Tad offers to help, but Krystal orders him to return to bed. Krystal then heads to the restaurant in her robe where she is surprised to find Liza knocking on the door. Liza explains she saw the lights on and hoped Krystal's was open. She asks for a scotch and the two women end up bonding over their lives: how they both feel lost, miss their daughters, David's incarceration, etc.

Natalia surprises Brot at the police station. She was going to surprise him at his place, but saw he wasn't there. What is he doing? Brot admits he is writing his resignation letter. He tells Natalia about his role in the Ellie/Lucy switch. He is sorry for hurting Angie and feels it's hypocritical of him to be an officer. He admits this isn't the first time he has done this. Back in Iraq, he switched shifts with his friend Mac. Mac ended up dying, leaving behind a wife and two kids. Natalia understands why Brot did what he did and assures him he is still a good man. She loves him now and forever. They will have a family together and maybe name one of their kids Mac. Later Natalia convinces Brot to come home where they make love.

Jake walks into ConFusion where he finds Ryan drinking alone. Jake calls him a hero for putting David behind bars. Ryan bristles at the word. Jake says there are worse things to be called than "hero." Like Joe Martin, Jr. Jake explains sharing his dad's name has put a lot of pressure on him to be perfect. He has had to carve his own way, but wishes he could be more like his dad when it comes to family. Ryan smiles. He has a feeling that Jake has nothing to worry about. Ryan, on the other hand, regrets not saving his mom, sister and brother from his abusive dad. Right now all he wants to focus on is Greenlee and his kids. Later Jake returns home to crawl into bed with Amanda.

Greenlee can't sleep so she pops over to Kendall's, who is also alone. The women are still reeling from the revelation that David was involved with Zach's casino partners. Greenlee realizes she no longer wants to talk about David. Instead she comes up with a brilliant idea for Fusion: Create a computer program that will show how a woman's face ages. Based on her "future," she can choose cosmetics and skin care that will combat the signs of aging. Impressive, right? Kendall rains on Greenlee's parade. She needs a break from work to spend time rebuilding her family. Kendall studies Greenlee; what is really bothering her? Greenlee confesses that she feels alone. Yes, she has Ryan, but she knows life is fragile and is afraid of losing him. She has already lost so many people. Kendall urges Greenlee to go home to Ryan and that she will always be Greenlee's friend. Ryan arrives to fetch Greenlee. Greenlee goes to hug Kendall and tells her that she loves her. Kendall smiles. She loves her, too.

Scott finds Colby doing some late night packing. Scott is saddened to see their house so empty, but offers a room at the Gatehouse to Colby. Colby admits she misses her dad, but it seems like he doesn't care. At least her mom is around -- messing up, but she is around. Scott tells Colby that Adam as the muscle of the family and Stuart was the heart, but now they -- as the next generation -- have to be both. Although they are losing the mansion, they will never lose each other.

Colby finds Liza at Krystal's having a drink with Krystal. She goes into her mother's arms for comfort as Krystal stares at a photo of Babe. After Liza and Colby leave, Krystal turns back to her Future list. However she is interrupted by Tad, who has come to ask her to come home. Tad tells her that they will always be family. Touched Krystal takes Tad's arm, leaving her empty list behind.

Kendall waits patiently for Zach by the fire. Meanwhile Greenlee is standing on the balcony lost in thought when Ryan comes up behind her to hug her.

Wed, September 14, 2011

At the Martin Compound Dixie dreams of being trapped in David's lab again. She enters a room and tries to revive a woman she believes is Babe, but David stops her. Tad enters and Dixie wakes up in a cold sweat. Tad comforts Dixie, who insists they need to find out if Babe is one of the two people David claims he brought back from the dead -- and is still hiding. She wants to see him, but Tad refuses. Eventually Tad relents and agrees to visit David with Dixie.

Liza visits David at the police station to tell him she won't take his case. David insists that the whole town is conspiring against him. Liza scoffs. What about his conspiracies with the silent casino partners? Remember Ricky Torres? David insists that he never meant for things to get as far as they did (RE: Zach's plane crash). Liza reiterates that she won't represent David, yet she still believes David has a chance to learn from his mistakes. Tad and Dixie arrive. Liza assures them that she isn't getting involved and wishes David luck. Brot gives Tad and Dixie five minutes to grill David, but David laughs at them. Dixie pleads with David to tell her if Babe is alive -- for JR's sake. David sneers that he wouldn't save his daughter just to let JR destroy her. In fact if JR were on fire, he wouldn't hand him a glass of water. Tad points out that keeping Babe from her family, especially her mom and son, is unfair to her.

Maya greets Colby at Krystal's and tells her how sorry she is to hear about the foreclosure on the mansion. When Maya asks about Asher, Colby says she doesn't want to bother him about her problems. Colby asks what Maya's next step is. Maya admits she would love to start over fresh somewhere, but couldn't take Lucy away from Angie and Jesse like that. Colby shares the story of baby Stuart -- how Liza adopted him and his birth mother took him back. It crushed Liza. Colby advises Maya to move out soon; the longer she lingers with Angie and Jesse, the harder it will be for them to say good-bye to Lucy.

Asher and Caleb enter Krystal's where Caleb urges Asher to look into taking some college courses. Colby approaches, happy to see Asher. Asher says he and his dad have been getting along -- better, but not perfect. Asher leaves to attend an AA meeting. Caleb is about to follow, but he bumps into Liza. He pays her some compliments, which takes the wind out of Liza's sails. Colby interrupts to ask Liza if Maya and Lucy can move in with them. After Liza listens to Colby's rational, she agrees because it is part of her making amends and win back her daughter's love campaign, never mind the fact that Maya is a complete stranger and Lucy is likely to keep everyone up at night.

Jesse finds Angie folding clothes. Angie wishes she could see Lucy's face before Maya moves out. Jesse reminds Angie that she will see Lucy no matter what, Angie says it's not the same. Angie asks Jesse to keep David in Pine Valley a little while longer. Jesse correctly guesses it's because David can help restore Angie's sight. Angie adds that David has two more Orpheus patients stashed away somewhere. What if one of them is Babe? She could never forgive herself if she didn't try to reunite Krystal with Babe. Jesse doesn't want Angie talking to David, but later Angie arranges for Frankie to pick her up. However, before Angie leaves, Maya returns and drops a big bomb. She doesn't want to make this harder on Angie and Jesse than it has to be -- so she is moving out today. As Maya packs (she actually asks to take the stroller), Jesse tries to convince her to stay a little longer. Angie graciously tells Maya to take what she needs/wants and has a heart-wrenching good-bye with baby Lucy. After Maya and Lucy leave, Angie convinces herself that everything is fine. She avoids a breakdown with a visit to David! Meanwhile Jesse heads to Ellie's grave where he says it was just as tough losing Lucy as it was losing her.

Maya takes Lucy to Krystal's where Liza happily tells her that there is a spare bedroom with her name on it at her condo. Maya expresses her gratitude by asking Colby to go to the park with her and Lucy, but Asher's return stops Colby. Colby blurts that she thinks she and Asher were on the verge of something great and she doesn't want to give up on that. Asher agrees and reveals he is taking classes at Pine Valley University -- the same exact courses as Colby. Meanwhile Liza joins Caleb at a table and tells him to pick her up at 8pm.

Dixie and Tad return home where Dixie vents about David's arrogance. Tad thinks Dixie is adorable when she is angry. He is happy they still make a good team and kisses Dixie's neck. He tells her that he knows she wants to take this slow, but she is the love of his life. This leads to the two of them heading upstairs, giggling nervously like teenagers. Dixie lies down on Tad's bed and gives him a come hither look as she unbuttons her blouse. Tad's response? To do a dorky dance. Dixie laughs and beckons Tad to join her on the bed.

Tad wakes up in bed to find Dixie gone. Panicked, he searches the house for her, only to find her in the living room with breakfast. Relieved, Tad kisses her as Dixie teases him about his unruly, muppet-like eyebrows. Later, Tad kisses Dixie good-bye, marveling that he can tell her he will see her later. How great is their second chance!

Jesse is at Ellie's grave when he sees Liza approach. Liza gently empathizes; she knows how hard it is to lose a child. Jesse opens up to Liza, revealing how he regrets not being there for Angie and Frankie, so when Ellie died, he couldn't hurt Angie again. Liza thinks she can help. Maya and Lucy have moved in with her; maybe she can convince Maya to give Lucy back. Jesse appreciates the offer (considering that he and Liza are enemies), but says that won't make things right.

At the police station David asks what Angie wants. Angie psycho analyzes David in an effort to reach him. She believes David wants love; so much has been taken from him which is why David tries to exert so much control over himself and others. He manufactures ways to have the ultimate power over life and death. Angie tells him that even with all that, he will still be alone, but it doesn't have to be that way. She suggests the only way to deal with pain is to stare it down with the help of those who love you. Angie asks David to let her in; he won't regret it. David is doubtful, but seems to consider Angie's words. Frankie arrives to take Angie home. Before she leaves, David asks if Angie will visit him in prison. Angie assures him this isn't the last he will see of her.

At the hospital Cara smiles as she looks at her positive pregnancy test. She quickly folds the paper when Griffin approaches. Cara confronts Griffin about his involvement in putting David in prison. Griffin is without remorse. If this gets David away from Cara, so be it! Cara reminds Griffin that David has saved many lives and helped her when she thought her cancer returned. Thankfully it didn't because she is pregnant! Stunned Griffin asks if Cara is sure. Cara reminds him that she has wanted to be a mother since she was eight. Griffin is happy for his sister, but cautions her against telling David. Later Cara visits David in jail. She says she came to say good-bye -- and that David is the father of her child!

JR looks around the almost empty living room of the Chandler mansion. Colby enters to pack more stuff, including pistols in a fancy rosewood box that belong to Adam. JR muses that he's always wanted those guns, but Dad never gave it to him. Scott enters with packets for him and Colby, containing Adam's updated will. JR is livid to learn he has been cut from the will -- and that his share has been given to Scott. Naturally JR accuses Scott of stealing his money. He grabs his bag and storms out. Colby calls Adam to tell him how angry JR is.

Randi and Frankie see Maya and Lucy at Krystal's picking out college courses. They approach them and Maya apologizes for moving out so soon, but Randi assures her that they understand. Frankie plays with Lucy and asks Maya if they can see her sometimes. Maya smiles; of course!

JR arrives at the Martin Compound where AJ throws himself into JR's arms. He has missed him! Dixie is hesitant to let JR in, but allows him a few minutes with his son. However, as soon as Dixie's back is turned, JR urges AJ to grab his favorite toy because he is taking him on an adventure! Fortunately Dixie busts JR before they leave. JR fumes; he believes Marissa and Bianca will corrupt AJ, but Dixie reminds JR that AJ needs his mother. JR yells that Marissa is not AJ's mother and turns to leave. Dixie says he can't go ... one of David's Orpheus patients could be Babe. Babe could be alive!

Tad meets with Jesse at ConFusion where Jesse tells him that Maya moved out and how scared he is that he will eventually lose Angie. Tad knows how Angie feels; he's been there with Dixie. However he has faith that Angie will come back because he went back to Dixie.

Scott and Madison are eating hot dogs in the park. (Madison no longer looks "fierce," but her normal sweet self.) Scott confides how awful he feels about Adam cutting JR out of the will. Madison admires Scott's compassion and offers her support. When Scott touches Madison's hand, Madison apologizes for pushing Scott away after her daughter died. She confesses that she misses him and would like to start over with him. Scott's response is to pull Madison in for a kiss. Colby interrupts with some great news. Dad is coming home!

Liza joins Maya at Krystal's where Maya is making calls to procure childcare so she can attend class. She ends up dropping her class as Lucy accidentally spills milk on a course catalog. Liza grabs a few napkins; she tells Maya that Angie would probably love to help out, but Maya feels she has already taken too much from the Hubbard's.

Frankie brings Angie home where he apologizes for forcing Maya to take a babysitting job with his parents. If he hadn't done that ... Angie tells Frankie to hush. She firmly believes that Lucy is where she belongs. Frankie goes to leave, turning on the light as he heads toward the door. Angie gasps. She sees it! She sees the light!

At Casa Slater Kendall finds Zach -- wearing his beloved Red Skins sweatshirt -- ready to watch a hockey game and drink beer. She pretty much tackles him for a kiss, but Zach would rather watch the game...while wearing a Red Wings Snuggie. Or a Slanket. Or whatever you can a blanket with arms. Kendall gets upset; he's been gone for so long and he'd rather watch TV than hang out with her! Zach pulls Kendall onto his lap and kisses her. He then surprises her with footage of the kids. Nothing like home movies to bring tears to Kendall's eyes. Ever the romantic, Zach whispers that hockey season doesn't start until next week. They kiss and Kendall pauses to take out Zach's wedding band. She smiles and puts it back on his finger where it belongs.

Erica enters ConFusion and happily greets Jackson. Jackson thinks Erica wants to talk about their wedding, but instead he is stunned when Erica tells him about Kit Sterling and his plans for a movie. She can't possibly plan a wedding right now. Before Jackson can express his disappointment, Brooke English walks in! Looking fit in a purple dress, Brooke greets Jackson and Erica, but Erica can't help but start the snark. Where is Adam? She wants to tell him about her new movie deal. Brooke assures Erica that she and Adam are together as Jackson leaves for court. Alone Brooke and Erica trade barbs about marriage (Brooke urges Erica to get married soon before she loses Jackson. Erica notices that Adam hasn't proposed yet.). Naturally Erica can't help but say that Brooke always gets her leftovers, but Brooke replies that she dated Kit, so who has the leftovers now? They glare at each other until they start giggling. Erica smiles; Pine Valley hasn't been the same since Brooke left. But this doesn't mean she likes her! Brooke thinks they are more alike than they want to believe, but they do have excellent taste in men (Adam, Tom and Jackson). Erica inquires after Adam, but Brooke evades the question. Things have been different for Adam since they left town.

At the jailhouse David is stunned when Cara says she is pregnant with David's baby. David is overjoyed. He vows to be the father their baby deserves, calling Cara's pregnancy a gift. However, Cara rains on David's parade. She can't accept David as a full-blown parent -- not yet. David graciously accepts this and knows Cara will be a wonderful mother. Cara returns the compliment; with a brilliant father, their baby is already remarkable.

At the Martin Compound JR doesn't believe Dixie when she says she saw Babe at David's secret lab. JR thinks Dixie was seeing things, but Dixie says she had to tell JR it was a possibility before JR ran off with AJ. JR insists that David is playing Dixie, but Dixie reminds JR that David brought back Maria, Greenlee, Zach and herself. JR turns to go, but Dixie reminds him that David was alone with Babe's body after she died. It's possible!

Angie stares at the lamp. She tells Frankie she can see, but soon it fades. Angie asks Frankie to keep this from Jesse; she doesn't want to get Jesse's hopes up, but Frankie is confident Angie will regain her whole sight soon. Later Jesse returns home to ask about Angie's visit with David. Angie feels David has changed, but Jesse reminds her that he is an accessory to murder. Angie says that there are two more Orpheus patients; with David in prison, they will never be reunited with their families. They could even die! Jesse is at a loss for words, especially when Angie notices how quiet their place is. She wonders when she will wake up no longer missing her daughters. Jesse tries to embrace her, but Angie insists she needs to find her own way through this. Jesse suggests they pack Lucy's portable crib. As he folds Lucy's blanket, he sees a photo of their family in happier times. Tears fall from Jesse's eyes. Angie asks him if he's crying. Jesse denies it, but Angie insists that he is. She can see him!

JR heads to the prison to confront David. He interrupts Cara and David's tender moment to ask if Babe is alive. David refuses to answer JR's questions. Instead he reminds JR of how badly he treated Babe. JR vows that he loved Babe. If Babe is alive, would David really keep her from AJ? Rattled David calls Griffin and hands him a slip of folded paper. He urges Griffin to finish his work; lives are counting on him! Griffin reads the paper and is surprised by what he sees. JR lurks nearby and arranges for someone to tail Griffin.

Mon, September 19, 2011

At ConFusion, Liza tells Cara that David can be out of prison as soon as 18 months -- if he stays on good behavior. However, Liza doesn't think anyone will be waiting for David when he gets out. Cara clears her throat; uh, she will ... because she is pregnant with David's baby! Liza covers her shock as she wishes Cara luck; she is going to need it with David as her baby daddy! Cara is affected when Liza tells her that one of the hardest things about single parenting is not having anyone to celebrate the child's milestones with.

At the park, Colby finds Maya reading a course catalog with one hand and rocking Lucy's stroller with the other. Maya confesses that she doesn't feel she can take care of Lucy and go to school at the same time. Maybe Lucy is better off with the Hubbards after all. Colby assures Maya that Lucy belongs to her; they have such a strong bond! Maya confides that she was afraid her initial abandonment of Lucy may have injured their relationship. She vows to make all the right choices for her Lucy going forward. When Colby suggests moving back in with the Hubbard's, Maya reveals she is too scared to do that. Liza arrives and tells Maya that if she is going to live with them, she will have a curfew of eight o'clock. Upset, Maya leaves. Colby turns to Liza; why did she do that? Liza and Colby return to ConFusion where Liza explains that she believes Maya and Lucy belong with the Hubbards, so this is her way of making Maya go back. Colby gets it, but fears that Maya will leave town instead.

Jesse is stunned when Angie's eyes lock onto his. Angie explains she can see that he is crying. Overjoyed, Jesse touches Angie's cheek. Angie drinks in Jesse's face, happy that his is the first she can see. She asks to see David immediately, so Jesse gives Angie a pair of sunglasses and says he will drive her.

At the police station, David gives Griffin a slip of paper with the names of the remaining Orpheus patients. He urges Griffin to save their lives because he can't. Griffin leaves, unsure, but tells Cara about it. Cara thinks Griffin should do it; it's the right thing!

Randi, Frankie, Brot and Natalia enter Krystal's to plan Brot and Natalia's wedding at the loft. They think they need to liven the place up now that Maya and Lucy left. However Natalia doesn't want to both Angie, but Jesse squashes her concerns when he bursts in with the good news. Angie can see! The light came back on! Griffin arrives to hear the good news and is struck by the fact that David's miracle medical procedure/research made the Hubbard's so happy. Determined he heads to David's secret lab where he dons some latex gloves and gets to work.

Angie arrives at the police station to talk to David. When she tells David she can see, David impulsively hugs her. He's so happy for her! Later, Cara arrives and tells David that she wants him in their baby's life. David, again, is overjoyed (and dare we say it, a bit humbled) as Cara promises to visit him in prison and puts his hand on her belly.

Jesse heads to the park where he finds Maya. He apologizes for being so hard on her, but Maya knows he was protecting Angie. Maya is thrilled when she learns Angie can see and agrees to take Lucy to visit Angie. Later, Jesse returns home to find Angie sitting in the dark. Angie explains she wants to remember where she was in order to appreciate where she is now. She takes Jesse's hands and tells him that she realizes how selfish she has been. She was so angry with Jesse when she learned about Ellie's death that she acted like Jesse couldn't grieve for their daughter either. She sees now that she almost gave up on their marriage and is glad that Jesse didn't. Can Jesse forgive her? Tears fill Jesse's eyes as he says Angie has nothing to apologize for. And just like that, the Hubbard's are back! Later Maya and Lucy arrive. Angie cries as she sees Lucy's sweet smile. Maya confesses that Liza's place doesn't feel like home. Angie promises that she and Jesse will help Maya become financially independent and welcomes Maya and Lucy into their family. Frankie, Randi, Natalia and Brot arrive. Angie is thrilled to learn that Brot and Natalia are getting married. Everyone is happy that Maya and Lucy are back. Angie grabs a camera and sets the timer as everyone huddles together for the new Hubbard family portrait.

At ConFusion Liza cries tears of joy when Colby tells her that Maya and Lucy are moving back in with the Hubbard's. Liza is happy that Angie and Jesse got their happy ending. Colby thinks there is a happy ending for her and Mom as well as she takes Liza's hand.

Back at the police station JR gets into a fight with Krystal and Marissa. He demands to see AJ, but they remind him that they have a restraining order on him. JR is convinced that Babe is alive and vows to find her. When he does, he will take AJ from Marissa and be a real family with AJ and Babe. Later Krystal and Marissa head to Krystal's where Marissa asks Krystal if she believes Babe is still alive. Krystal doesn't want to hope and firmly believes they should let Babe's memory rest in peace. Meanwhile JR heads home where he finds a photo of Babe. He looks at the photo and at his gun. Uh-oh, what is JR up to?

Tue, September 20, 2011

At David's secret lab Griffin begins to work on an Orpheus patient. JR barges in, yelling for Babe. He sees someone behind a curtain and tries to look, but Griffin tackles him and plunges a syringe in his arm. JR falls to the ground as he whispers Babe's name. Later JR returns to the jail where he demands to know again where Babe is. If he doesn't, AJ will be raised by two vindictive lesbians! Fuming David says that one of those lesbians is his daughter and she is a much better parent than JR ever could be. Furious JR grabs David through the bars, but David yells that JR is a loser. As a cop drags JR away, David says that JR will never see Babe again. Never!

At Casa Slater the kids (Spike, Ian, AJ, Emma, Miranda and Gabby) run around as Kendall preps for a family BBQ. In the corner Zach, Ryan and Jackson talk work; Ryan wants to liquidate Cambias and is working on a new charity called the Myrtle Fargate Foundation with Zach as Jackson does the necessary paperwork. Meanwhile Kendall asks Bianca if she has read Erica's memoir yet. It not only bares Erica's soul, but theirs as well! Bianca thinks they can edit it, but Kendall knows Erica won't. Later Kendall reveals to the camera -- a la documentary -- that she doesn't really want to relive some of her painful moments with Erica. Back in the present, Kendall sends the kids upstairs, Ryan/Greenlee to the grocery store and Bianca/Marissa to Krystal's. She tries to vent to Zach about Erica's book, but Zach tosses the book aside. Kendall hugs him. She is so happy he is back! Maybe Erica should put that in her book. Kendall tells Zach they need a fresh start (or a "Clean Slater" as Zach calls it), meaning they will make time for everything: work, family, the boys and them as a couple. Later Zach talks to the camera about how he almost died and how grateful he is for a second chance with his family. He just hopes Erica's book doesn't ruin everything! He describes Kendall and Erica's relationship as driving when you hit a patch of ice.

Bianca reads more of Erica's book at Krystal's where she is horrified to read many intimate details of her life. Marissa says she prefers to learn about Bianca from Bianca, not from Erica's book and kisses her. Later it's Bianca's turn to talk to the camera; she complains that she's had to deal with paparazzi her whole life, but having her life revealed in a book and movie is another thing. Later JR enters to ask where AJ is. Marissa reminds JR that she has a restraining order on him, but that doesn't stop JR from following the women back to Casa Slater.

At ConFusion Kit shows Erica a promo for her movie. He explains the screenwriter has started writing a script, but Kit needs to ask Erica some more questions about Kendall, Bianca and Jackson. Erica reluctantly touches upon each person, alternating between talking to Kit and to the camera. She reveals the painful moment when she admitted to Kendall that she gave her up for adoption because she was a child of rape. It was the hardest thing she ever had to do, but she is so grateful to have Kendall in her life. She then recalls the moment Bianca came out to her; no one has ever challenged her mind and soul the way Bianca has. Next Kit wants to talk about Jackson, who tells the camera that Erica still blames him for losing custody of Bianca.

Ryan, Greenlee, Marissa and Bianca return to Casa Slater bearing groceries. Bianca sits with Kendall and tells her that she was right. Mom needs to edit this memoir. As Kendall jokes that Sarah Michelle Geller should play her in Erica's movie, JR watches from outside.

Later everyone is eating when Jackson and Erica arrive. (Jackson went to ConFusion to fetch Erica.) Kendall and Bianca pull Erica aside to confront her about her uncensored memoir. Jackson wisely exits as the girls express their concern. Mom went too far this time! They don't want their lives to be written about. Erica doesn't think she needs their permission; this is about her life and yes, they are a part of it. While the adults head outside, JR sneaks in and tries to kidnap AJ, but he is thwarted by Erica. JR warns Erica; she doesn't want to know what happens to people who keep him from his son.

JR returns home where he kicks a few boxes and pulls out his gun. He is about to leave when he sees Babe standing in the doorway with tears in her eyes.

Back at Casa Slater the BBQ continues despite Kendall and Erica's bickering. Ryan and Greenlee take a moment to talk to the camera where Ryan says Kendall and Erica always make up -- and Greenlee snickers, clearly enjoying the catfight. Later Ryan gives a toast to family and hands it off to Zach, who raises his glass to the Slater's, Lavery's, the Montgomery's and the force of nature known as the Kane women. Cheers! Kendall turns to Erica and they hug. The day ends with a lovely montage of tender moments among the families, including Mona and Myrtle!

Wed, September 21, 2011

Today's show is dedicated in loving memory to Mary Fickett, the first Ruth Martin.

At the Martin Compound Tad calls Jake, worried that their parents didn't call like they usually do every Sunday. As Dixie enters, the doorbell rings. Surprise, it's Ruth! Later Opal and Krystal enter, stunned to see Ruth. Ruth explains that Joe has been asked to return as a consultant at the hospital, which means the patriarch and matriarch of Pine Valley are moving back! Tad quietly freaks out. He is so happy that he worries something bad will happen. Dixie tries to calm him as there is another knock at the door. Surprise, it's Jamie! Tad practically faints with happiness as he embraces his son.

At the hospital a petite blond patient (Sarah Michelle Geller) points to Maria, who is in town for a consult, and says she wants her to treat her. The patient insists she is Erica Kane's daughter, who sees…wait for it…vampires! She saw them before they were trendy. (Hee.) Maria examines the patient, who says that she feels like she knows Maria and that Pine Valley is her home even though she has never been here before. Maria smiles. There are excellent doctors here who should be able to help her.

Amanda greets Jake to tell him the loft next to theirs is for sale. She would love to buy it, knock down the interior walls and expand their place! Jake is too worried about his parents to think about home renovations, but luckily Joe walks in. Maria spies Joe and happily embraces him. Joe would love for Maria to return to Pine Valley to work, but Maria explains she and the kids are settled in Los Angeles -- or is it Miami?

Later Joe, Amanda and Jake arrive to join the impromptu party at the Martin Compound. The Martin's are all together again! Joe pulls Dixie aside and Dixie tells him that she and Tad have never been happier. Ruth pulls Tad aside to remind him that Dixie's return is a miracle. Both Tad and Dixie get an idea and they separately leave the room. They text each other to meet at the park, where they clearly have the same idea: to propose! Together they kneel, each one wanting to pop the question, but Tad wins because he jokes it's hard for him to stand after kneeling. Dixie helps him to sit on a bench where Tad accidentally hits the call button on his cell phone.

Back at the Martin Compound Jamie tells Krystal that Adam and Brooke are in town for a visit. Krystal hopes the can talk some sense into JR. Jamie nods; kind of like Babe could have. The home phone rings and Opal picks it up. She realizes that Tad is proposing to Dixie and puts him on speaker phone. They listen as Tad begins to propose, but Dixie interrupts, explaining she would like to give it a try. Tad already had a turn -- or three. Dixie tells Tad he is where she belongs as tears spill down her cheeks. She is so glad she followed their star back to him. Tad responds that he doesn't want to waste any more time worrying about anything because he is with her. She is his home and family. He commits his life and heart to her -- just like he did twenty years ago. Dixie smiles. Together forever--again! As they kiss, they hear the hoots and hollers from the rest of the clan over the phone. When Dixie and Tad return, they find everyone trying to play cool, but Opal can't resist and jumps up to congratulate the newly engaged couple. Trevor, Jenny and Kathy join the party as Joe and Ruth watch over their children and grandchildren and hope that Grandma Kate is watching over them. Later the Martin clan poses for a family photo as we get a montage of classic Martin family flashbacks.

Jesse brings David into the interrogation room to meet with Griffin. Griffin explains he needs David to tell him what to do; the meds he gave their mysterious Orpheus patient is not working! They could lose the patient! David replies that he needs to see the patient in order to save the person. David reaches out to Angie to ask her to convince Jesse to let him work on his Orpheus patient. Jesse says no way, but Angie begs him to reconsider. A person's life is at risk! It could be someone's mother or father or sister or brother or wife or husband. Jesse reluctantly agrees, but asks David to tell them who the patient is first. David agrees and while we don't hear it, Jesse and Angie are both stunned.

Adam and Brooke walk into the now empty Chandler mansion. Adam is concerned when he sees a discarded photo of himself and JR in the trashcan.

Upstairs JR is stunned when he sees Babe standing in the doorway. JR moves towards her, but Babe tells him to stop. She gently removes the gun from JR's clenched fist and allows him to embrace her. Tears fill JR's eyes as he touches Babe's face and kisses her. Babe tells him that she is worried about him, but JR is fine, now that she is here. Babe shakes her head. He is the only person who can save himself. Babe sadly tells JR that she isn't real. David has been messing with his head. JR refuses to believe it as Babe says maybe David tried to revive her, but it didn't work. JR would know in his heart if she was alive. JR cries that he has nothing left -- he can't left "them" win! Babe urges him to remember what a good man he is. It's never too late to change. JR says that Babe can't help him because she is dead! Alone he breaks down sobbing.

Downstairs Adam opens his gun box to find one of his pistols is missing. JR enters, revealing he has it. JR assumes Adam is here to tell him what a failure he is. After all, Adam cut him out of the family will. Brooke orders JR to be respectful, but that doesn't stop JR from ripping into Adam. Adam threw money around instead of being there for him. Adam explains that he cut JR from his will because he saw how money corrupted him. It was for his own good, son! JR sneers that he doesn't want Adam to call him "son" ever again. Adam apologizes for being so hard on JR. Brooke explains that Adam taking JR's inheritance away is his way of making JR stand on his own two feet and becoming his own person. JR interprets this as Adam disowning him and returns upstairs to pack a bag, including bullets for his gun. He loads his gun. If everyone thinks he is so bad now, they haven't seen anything yet!

In the living room Adam berates himself for being a lousy father to JR. He sees a photo of Stuart and wishes he were here. Suddenly he looks up. He swears he just heard Stuart's voice, saying he is right here, just like when they were kids playing hide and seek!

Jesse brings David to the hospital as Griffin brings in their Orpheus patient. David begs Jesse to remove his handcuffs -- if he can't work on the patient, the patient will die! Griffin and David work quickly on the patient whose vitals are very weak. David urges the patient to fight as we see the person's face. It's Stuart!

Thu, September 22, 2011

Erica and Jackson have returned home where Erica expresses her disbelief that her daughters' lives would be disrupted by the publication of her book. Sure, some intimate moments of their lives have been revealed, but it's all in relation to hers! Kit arrives with the announcement that Monk Delano is ready to write the screenplay with Erica's help. The catch: Erica has to live in his guest house for three months. Starting today. Jackson is clearly not thrilled about this and Erica clearly wants to postpone the wedding and go. Erica can't understand why Jackson is not as thrilled. Jackson accuses Erica of being more comfortable with taking chances than feeling safe and settled. There always seems to be something more important than them and he doesn't want to live that way anymore.

JR arrives at the Martin Compound where he sadly tells Dixie and Tad that Babe is not alive. Tad is confused; if it wasn't Babe in the lab with Dixie, then who was it? When JR says he feels like he lost Babe all over again, Dixie asks for a moment alone with her son. JR says he is so tired of fighting and losing. He wants to leave town. Dixie tries to convince JR that his life doesn't look as hopeless as he perceives it to be, but she can't stop JR from leaving. But she does help JR see AJ before he goes. Dixie asks Krystal to bring AJ over under the guise of spending time with his grandma. Krystal reminds Dixie about JR's restraining order, which Dixie promptly breaks as soon as Krystal leaves. AJ is a little scared to see his dad, but when he learns JR is leaving town, he begins to cry. JR assures the boy that he can call him anytime. Later Dixie tries to talk to JR, but they are interrupted by the news that Stuart is alive. JR slips outside to look at his gun as he mutters this will take care of everything.

Adam and Brooke arrive at the hospital, thinking they were called in because JR hurt himself. However they are stunned when they see Stuart. Angie assures Adam that David will save his brother; after all, he restored Angie's sight! Together with Brooke, Jesse, Angie and Cara, Adam watches as David tells Griffin that they must save Stuart. He didn't work so hard just to lose the heart and soul of Pine Valley!

At Casa Slater the BBQ continues. Marissa is still shaken from JR's impromptu visit. Greenlee makes a toast to the Slater's and gifts them with a surprise trip to Manhattan. (Marissa and Bianca are taking the boys.) As Kendall and Zach relish the prospect of some sexy time, Erica arrives, upset that Jackson isn't being as supportive as she wants him to be. Unfortunately, Kendall and Bianca are on Jackson's side. Maybe for once Erica can do what Jackson wants. Erica fumes; she refuses to settle for anything less than her dreams! Kendall wants Erica to do what she wants to do, but begs her to be honest about her reasons. Later Kendall and Bianca head upstairs to help the kids pack as Zach and Erica share a tender moment. They agree that dreams count. He urges Erica to never change.

Madison and Scott take a break from home essential shopping (e.g., bathmats, photo frames, etc.) in the park where Scott says it feels good to have the Gate House finished. He remembers the time Stuart telling him that it's not always about coming in first. Sometimes it's just about finishing. When Madison says shopping together feels like old times, Scott admits how happy he was when they lived together. Will Madison consider moving back in with him? Madison admits her favorite sound is still Scott's key in the door. Yes, she will move back in with him! As Scott kisses Madison, he gets a very shocking text.

Greenlee and Ryan are also are the park where they bask in their relatively drama-free lives. Ryan admits he feels peaceful for the first time in a long time. He spent so much time running away from his abusive father ... Greenlee thinks their running days are over. She leans against Ryan's shoulder and wonders if life could get better than this. Ryan doesn't know, but it will be fun to find out! Later Ryan reveals he has a surprise for Greenlee; tickets to the circus!

Tad arrives at the hospital where Cara tells him that Stuart is alive, but it's touch and go right now. Cara has absolute faith in David; he gives people new life! After all, she is pregnant. Before Tad can lecture Cara, Cara asks if Tad thinks she will make a good mother. Tad smiles. He will bet thirty years of his life on it!

Meanwhile Stuart flat lines. As David and Griffin try to revive him, Angie grabs Adam and brings him into the room. She says that Adam can give Stuart something that David can't. Adam touches Stuart's hand and says he's here as we get a montage of beautiful moments between the twin brothers. Stuart hears Adam urging him to come back and opens his eyes as his heart starts beating again. Everyone bursts into tears of joy, including David as Stuart looks at Adam and whispers his name.

Scott and Madison run in. Scott takes Brooke's hand. Is it true? Is Dad alive? Angie urges Scott to see for himself. Scott enters the room and takes Stuart's hand as Stuart's eyes well with tears. Stuart struggles to say Scott's name as he tries to make sense of what is happening. In the hall, Angie tells David how proud she is of him as David marvels that Angie knew exactly what Stuart needed. (They make a great team, don't they?) Jesse regretfully takes David back to jail as David gives Angie his stethoscope. Brooke tells Adam that he saved Stuart. Adam shakes his head; no, Stuart saved him. Later Adam goes in to sit with Stuart and update him on the last two years. He confesses that he was the one who shot Stuart. Stuart tells Adam there is nothing to apologize for, which causes Adam to break down. Meanwhile Scott goes to see Marian in the psych ward where she has been living since Oak Haven burned down. He tells her that Stuart is still alive.

Tad catches up with Griffin as Cara congratulates David on saving Stuart. Tad asks Griffin if there was another patient in David's lab. Griffin shakes his head. Stuart was the only one there.

Fri, September 23, 2011 - Final Episode On ABC

The last episode of "All My Children" begins with a series of births, starting with Erica's (Mona holding a pretty baby girl), followed by Bianca's (Erica and Travis in the delivery room), Jake's (Charles Tyler congratulating Joe Martin -- it's a boy!), Amanda's (Natalie urging Janet to push), and Trevor's (Amanda smiles at Jake). We see happy families now and happy families then: Brooke and Tad with little Jamie and now with adult Jamie, hugging him good-bye; Dixie with baby JR; Angie hugging baby Frankie as Jesse drives; and Erica brushing the hair off of Bianca's face and Bianca turning to do the same to Miranda. We hear Angie's voiceover as she attempts to convince Jesse to release David. She says to watch your children grow up and share that with a town is such a gift. (How very meta!) Conflicted, Jesse understands, but he can't condone David for breaking the law. Cara defends David as she says he gave many people second chances. As Cara talks, we see Greenlee and Ryan playing with Emma in the park and Kendall and Zach playing with their boys at home.

At the Chandler mansion JR throws his gun into his bag and leaves, a man on a mission. The voices of David, Krystal, Marissa and Adam fill his head as he hears them say he can't see AJ, he is a loser, and he should leave town. JR heads to the airport where Jamie finds him waiting to board his private plane. Jamie is happy to see his step-brother, but JR is clearly not happy to see Jamie. In fact JR accuses Jamie of returning home only to steal Babe from JR -- if she was alive. (Uh, delusional much, JR?) Jamie tries to get through to JR by telling him that he loves him, but JR is too far gone. He says that everyone has stabbed him in the back and he is leaving town. But he will come back. There is no way in hell he will let two lesbians raise his son. After Jamie leaves to board his flight, JR continues to listen to the voices in his head, which make him angrier and angrier. Dixie and Tad arrive to tell JR that Stuart is alive. JR insists this is yet another one of David's head games. He tells Dixie that it's too late for her to make things right; it wasn't Adam who screwed him up, but Dixie! Tad gently leads Dixie away; maybe they need to let JR go.

Erica arrives at Casa Slater to find AJ, Miranda and Spike ready to practice a poem they must recite at a school assembly, which is Agnes Nixon's classic verse that used to grace the opening credits of the show:

"The great and the least,
The rich and the poor,
The weak and the strong.
In sickness and in health,
In joy and sorrow,
In tragedy and triumph,
These are all your children."

As everyone claps, AJ glumly tells Marissa how this poem reminds him of Daddy. Opal arrives to tell her best gal pal that Jackson is packing his bags; she thinks he is leaving Erica! Erica doesn't believe her so they return to the penthouse where Jackson and his stuff are gone. Erica reiterates her big dream of being a movie star; why can't Jackson understand that? Opal lectures Erica; she let her stupid pride keep her from Palmer and now he is gone. Don't let that happen with Jackson! Kit arrives to tell Erica that it's now or never. He has to leave for LA! Opal snarls at him; Erica is staying in Pine Valley!

At Krystal's, Krystal watches Jackson grimace after drinking a few shots. He tells Krystal that after 24 years, a couple of broken engagements, three TV shows, a marriage and a divorce, he thinks he and Erica are over.

At the hospital Scott brings Marian to be reunited with Stuart. She bursts into tears as Stuart touches her face. Is she a dream? Marian sobs that she is the one dreaming. Scott affectionately says they are both wide awake and leaves to give them some privacy. Marian crawls into bed with Stuart. He touches her face, calls her his "Queen of Hearts" and kisses her. Aw!

Liza heads to the police station where she tells David that Adam arranged for David to be out on bail as a way of thanking him for saving Stuart's life. David turns to Angie to tell her she has, by far, given him the greatest run for his money. He thanks her for trusting him. Angie replies it took her being blind to see past David's arrogance to see the good in him. She says him saving Stuart redeemed David. Jesse swallows his pride and thanks David for restoring Angie's eyesight. David smiles; he is going to remember this moment for the rest of his life.

Back at the Chandler mansion Adam appears to have a weight lifted off of his shoulders as he rejoices over Stuart's return from the dead. However the smile fades from his face when he looks around his former house. Brooke announces that she used her inheritance from Aunt Phoebe to buy the mansion back. She kisses Adam. Welcome home! Later Scott and Colby hang a painting (Adam and Stuart as boys) over the mantel. Colby suggests they throw a huge welcome home party as Winifred hugs Adam to welcome him home. Adam orders her to unpack the boxes and bring out their very best champagne!

Later that evening, all of Pine Valley arrives at the Chandler mansion dressed in their finest. Angie gushes that it's like Pine Valley is being reborn (again with the meta, Angela!) Jamie arrives to tell Brooke and Tad that he intentionally missed his flight to tell them that he saw JR at the airport -- and he is in big trouble. It turns out Jamie is right. At the airport JR hands the pilot an envelope with $20,000. He instructs him to take off; JR has a party to attend!

At the mansion, the party is in full swing with lots of dresses, suits, food, drink and laughter. Randi reveals to her family that she might be pregnant as everyone congratulates Angie on the return of her eye sight and Natalia and Brot on their engagement. David arrives to speak with Adam, but Adam is talking with Dixie while JR listens from the secret passageway. JR fumes as they say it's probably best that JR left town.

Erica arrives ready to win Jackson back. They head to another room to speak privately as Brooke and Adam toast to Pine Valley. In the secret passage JR shares in the toast with a swing from his flask. David approaches Adam, who didn't invite David. He asks David how he can repay him and David suggests cash. Adam is more than happy to pay up. Later Dixie has a moment alone with David. She asks who else David saved, specifically the other woman in the lab with her. David chuckles; Dixie would never believe him, even if he told her.

JR continues to spy on the party. He listens as Erica tries to convince Jackson to fly to LA with her. Jackson says he's been waiting for Erica for 24 years and feels that she chose this movie over him. He wants roots, family and marriage! He doesn't want to watch her chase her dreams. Erica reminds him that they share their dreams and is committed to him. Jackson urges Erica to admit she doesn't want to get married, which Erica finally cops to. Jackson wishes Erica the best of luck with her movie and her life without him.

In the main room Tad gives a heartfelt speech that speaks for everyone there and the viewers. Neighbors, family and friends--he found all of them in Pine Valley, which has been his home. Tad says there are many who should be here, but aren't. But if they were all here, they would remind them what a miracle this place is. His dear, dear friends; what would he do without them? They are tragedy and triumph come together. He wishes all his children were here, but he'd like to think all his children are always with him. Tad raises his glass as everyone claps. JR continues to watch, his anger bubbling under the surface as Adam adds one more thing to the festivities. He pulls out a sparkly diamond ring and proposes to Brooke, who happily accepts.

Jackson storms out of the party as Erica runs after him. Everyone watches as Erica tells him that she needs him. Please don't leave! Jackson turns; frankly, he doesn't care what she needs. As the crowd murmurs and Erica runs after Jackson, JR opens the secret door, raises his gun and takes aim. Erica cries, "This is not the ending I want!" as JR pulls the trigger.

Good night, Pine Valley.
