Caitlin stood looking out her bedroom window. How could this be happening? Her father was in jail for killing Carl Brock, the doctor who had helped Annie steal Trey from Olivia. And then Cole had demanded another paternity test and the tests had shown that Cole was Trey's father and not Gregory. Her husband had a child with her mother...

Caitlin: "It's like something you would see on TV".

As much as she loved Trey as her son and then her brother she didn't think know if she could handle him being her stepson. Before Gregory had gone to jail, he had arranged divorce papers to be drawn up for her and Cole. She was so angry with Cole but she still loved him. She had to know if he thought they could still make their marriage work and work things out with Olivia over Trey. Caitlin got in her car and went to Cole's suite at the resort. She knocked on the door. Cole answered and gave her a hopeful smile.

"Hi Cait", he said, "Want to come in?"

She walked into the room and both of them started talking at once. They laughed and Cole let Caitlin talk first.

Caitlin: "Cole, I'm sorry for everything that my father has put you through. And I'm sorry for lying to you about Trey. I still love you Cole. I don't know if you still love me but if you were willing to try, I think we could work things out". She said the words quickly and waited for what seemed like hours but was actually only a few seconds.

Cole smiled: "Cait, I could never stop loving you. I have loved you from the first moment we met and I always will. You have nothing to apologise for. I hurt you so badly and I'm sorry. I want to give our marriage another try. This time with total honesty and trust." He grabbed her into his arms and spun her around. He kissed her deeply and kept saying how much he loved her.

They talked for hours. They decided to renew their vows and get a home of their own.

Caitlin: "Cole, I have to honest with you. I love Trey as much as if he were my own son and I don't know if I can share him with my mother. He was my baby for a whole year..." she broke off crying softly.

Cole: "Cait, we'll work things out. I know Olivia will be fair with his custody. And Trey adores you. Your his big sister."

Caitlin: "And that's another thing. How are we going to explain all of this to him? He's going to be so confused."

Cole: "Cait, we'll do it together. You, Olivia and I will be his parents and we'll love him no matter what. Thats all thats important."

Caitlin: "Your right. But its not going to be easy", she warned him.

Cole: "I know but we'll do the best we can. Lets forget about all of this for now. Its been awhile since we got to spend some time together Mrs. Deschanel".

Caitlin: "Your right. What do you think we should do with our afternoon?"

Cole laughed: "Oh, I have a few ideas..."

Tess finally got through to Derek.

Tess: "They want me out today Derek! What are we going to do?"

Derek: "Relax baby. Jake is on his way. Can you stall them for a couple of days?"

Tess screamed: "NO! I can't. Ben told me I have to go to a hotel until I find a place of my own. What am I supposed to tell him? That all the hotels in Sunset Beach are booked out for the next two nights?"

Derek thought: "Damn, that woman screams loudly when she's upset".

To Tess he said: "Well, see if he'll buy that. If he doesn't, just go to a hotel for a few days. As soon as this plan is finished you will be back living there in no time."

Tess: "Derek, I don't know. Why don't I just take Benjy tonight and we can go away? We'll start our lives over again. It will be just us and our son?"

Derek: "No Tess. We need money to start new lives and the sooner we put our plan into action the sooner we'll be together again with our son. Now you know whats best. Just leave for a few days. It doesn't matter where you are living while Jake is here just as long as you are still in contact with Ben, Maria and Benjy."

Tess: "I don't want to leave our son here with them. I don't like any of them and I think Benjy is starting to open to Meg and I don't like it!"

Derek pleaded: "Tess, please, its only for a few more days".

Tess: "Alright Derek. But I want to be with our son again as soon as possible!"

They disconnected their phones.

Derek: "Soon Tess, I'll have everything I want. But you won't see a bit of it because I'll be sharing my life with Meg."
