NEW YORK (AP) _ Late night's smuggest talk show host has broken into daytime soaps. After begging for a spot on ``The Bold and the Beautiful,'' Craig Kilborn has earned a small part as a nurse in the June 18 episode, TV Guide reports in its June 12 issue. Kilborn, host of ``The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn,'' will play Nurse Peabody, a male nurse attending to pregnant heroine Taylor Hayes, played by Hunter Tylo. ``It's not a big part,'' Kilborn said. ``I wheel in an ultrasound machine and say to Taylor's gynecologist, `If you have a problem with it, just give it a light tap on the side.' Then they hand me a urine sample, and I put it up to the light and say 'Hmm, looks pretty healthy, but I'll check.'' Kilborn said he's relieved he doesn't have a bigger part on the afternoon soap opera. ``I have to confess I've never actually seen the damn show,'' he said. ``I wanted to be on it because I really love the title. |
