Beyoncé Sets ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tracklist Including Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ & ‘The Linda Martell Show’

(3/27/24) Beyoncé shared a new post on social media in which she seemingly dropped the track list of her new album, Cowboy Carter. The album includes collaborations with country music icons like Dolly Parton and Linda Martell.

The graphic, set to look like a rodeo poster, showcases that March 29 is when the album will be released. Previously released songs like “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” appear next to titles like, “Ameriican Requiem,” “Blackbiird,” “Protector,” “My Rose,” “Bodyguard,” “Daughter,” “Spaghettii,” “Alliigator Tears,” “Smoke Hour II,” “Just for Fun,” “II Most Wanted,” “Levii’s Jeans,” “Flamenco,” “Ya Ya,” “Oh Louisiana,” “Desert Eagle,” “Riiverdance,” “Tyrant,” “II Hands II Heaven,” “Sweet Honey Buckin'” and “Amen.”

“Dolly P” appears in the poster, which is a nod to Parton’s song “Jolene,” which is rumored to be one of the songs Beyoncé is set to cover.

A nod to Martell, a first Black country artist who was the first to perform solo at the Grand Ole Opry, was featured with the title “The Linda Martell Show.” The poster also noted “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson,” which could potentially be a hint of another collab.

Beyoncé previously opened up about what drove her to enter the country music genre.

“It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she shared in an Instagram post recently. “Because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of country music and studied our rich musical archive.”

She continued, “It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”

Beyoncé Opens Up About Criticism Entering Country Music Genre & How ‘Cowboy Carter’ Album Was Born

(3/19/24) Beyoncé is opening up about the inspiration that led her to create Cowboy Carter, which had to do with her not feeling welcomed in the country music space.

In a post she shared on social media, the singer thanked all of her supporters for making the release of “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” a success.

“I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart,” she wrote in an Instagram post sharing the cover of her album. “That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.”

Beyoncé said that Cowboy Carter “has been over five years in the making,” adding, “It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t.”

Many speculate that Beyoncé is referring to her appearance with country group The Chicks at the 2016 Country Music Awards, where they performed “Daddy Lessons.”

“Because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of country music and studied our rich musical archive,” she continued. “It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”

Beyoncé mentioned the criticisms that she faced when she entered the country music genre which “forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. Act II is a result of challenging myself and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.”

The star teased surprise collaborations for the new album and reminded everyone that Cowboy Carter is not a country album, “This is a “Beyoncé” album.”

beyonce act ii - COWBOY CARTER 3/29

Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and 16 CARRIAGES. I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart. That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.

This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.

The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.

I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound.

I focused on this album as a continuation of RENAISSANCE…I hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop.

This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with y’all!

Dolly Parton Teases Beyoncé Version Of 1973 Classic ‘Jolene’

(3/11/24) Dolly Parton‘s country classic “Jolene” is likely to make its way to the next Beyoncé album, Parton herself all but confirmed.

Rumors have been swirling that Beyoncé’s upcoming album Act II, set for release March 29, will be a country-themed collection, with two singles – “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” – pointing in that direction. When “Texas Hold ‘Em” debuted at #1 last month on Billboard’s Hot Country chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman to do so, Parton was among the first to offer congratulations.

“I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album,” Parton said in an Instagram message. “So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.”

Now Parton has teased some additional news about Beyoncé’s album. In an interview with Knox News, the website of the Knoxville News Sentinel, during Friday’s season opening of Dollywood, Parton was asked about rumors that Beyoncé will include a cover of “Jolene” on her new album.

“Well, I think she has,” Parton said. “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that.”

Parton wrote and recorded “Jolene” in 1973, and the song has gone on to be not only a Parton favorite but one of country music’s most beloved songs. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked it among the 500 greatest songs of all time, and countless artists have recorded cover versions including Olivia Newton-John, The White Stripes, Miley Cyrus, Chiquis and Becky G, and Lil Nas X.

Parton has, for years, expressed her hope that Beyoncé would cover the song, for example telling Trevor Noah on a 2022 episode of The Daily Show, “I would just love to hear Jolene done in just a big way, kind of like how Whitney [Houston] did my ‘I Will Always Love You,’ just someone that can take my little songs and make them like powerhouses. That would be a marvellous day in my life if [Beyoncé] she ever does do ‘Jolene’.”

The song is sung as a plea to a beautiful woman named Jolene to break off a flirtation with the singer’s spouse: “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene/I’m beggin’ of you, please don’t take my man/Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene/Please don’t take him just because you can.”

Parton has said she wrote the song on the same day in 1973 that she wrote another much-covered classic, “I Will Always Love You.”

Aside from “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” Beyoncé has not confirmed the tracks of her upcoming album.

Beyoncé Becomes First Black Woman To Top Country Music Chart With Her Single “Texas Hold ‘Em”

(2/20/24) (Video) Beyoncé continues to break barriers.

One year after becoming the artist with the most Grammy wins in history, the Houston-born superstar has notched what once may have seemed an even more unattainable record: becoming the first Black woman to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Her song “Texas Hold ‘Em,” released February 11, debuted at the top of the Hot Country Songs list. What’s more “16 Carriages,” another single from her upcoming album landed at No. 9. The songs debuted at No. 2 and No. 38, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the course of her solo career, the singer has topped the Hot 100 eight times.

Per Billboard, Beyoncé also made history this week as the first woman to have topped both Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs lists. Morgan Wallen, Justin Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus and Ray Charles are the only other acts to have led both charts.

You can watch the video for “Texas Hold ‘Em” above.

Beyoncé Tries To Break Verizon In Super Bowl Commercial, Turns Into ‘BarBey’ & Teases New Country Music Album

(2/11/24) (Video) Beyoncé attempted to break the Verizon network in a Super Bowl LVIII commercial and teased new music.

In the spot, the “Break My Soul” singer tried different ways to overload Verizon’s wireless network by opening a Lemonade stand, dropping new music playing the saxophone, becoming a gamer, introducing an A.I. version of herself and channeling Barbie turning into “BarBey.”

Beyoncé also tries to break the internet by announcing her candidacy as “Beyoncé of the United States,” and going into space to perform.

However, none of Beyoncé’s attempts broke Verizon with the singer saying, “You ain’t gonna break me.”

At the end, Beyoncé teased, “OK, they ready. Drop the new music.”

Over on Beyoncé’s socials, the singer shared a video teasing new country music, including the first single, “Texas! Hold ’em.” The album is set to drop March 29.

News of Beyoncé’s music comes a week after her husband Jay-Z blasted the Grammys for not awarding her Album of the Year despite being the most awarded artist in history.

“I’m just saying we just want you to get it right,” Jay-Z said about the Grammys. “We love y’all. We want y’all to get it right — at least get it close to right.”

Jay-Z acknowledged that music is subjective and added, “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys… Never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.”

There could be three generations of Knowles women on stage on Beyoncé’s next tour

(10/24/23) Could there be three generations of Knowles women on the stage in the next Beyoncé tour? There will be if her daughter, Blue Ivy, gets her way.

Eleven-year-old Blue Ivy has been appearing as a dancer in her mom’s Renaissance tour, which just wrapped up. And now Tina Knowles — who is Beyoncé’s mom and Blue’s grandma — tells Page Six that she might be joining the show as well.

“Blue tells me all the time, ‘Grandma, you should come up there…’ And I’m like. ‘When am I going to find time to practice?,” Tina told us at the Angel Ball Monday night, “Because, you know, us old folks got to practice a lot longer than them. She learned it in like a week.”

The tween — who is, of course, the superstar’s daughter with Jay Z — has appeared several times during the world tour, often at the point when Beyoncé sings the line about her “bloodline” from her track “My Power” from the soundtrack to Disney’s remake of “The Lion King.”

Tina has been among her biggest fans. After one performance, she posted a video of the cameo and wrote, “Blue Ivy performed in the front of a huge audience!! And yes, I am a proud grandma???? I am truly amazed by the courage that this brave, talented, beautiful 11-year-old exhibited last night!”

She added, “There were almost 70,000 people in that audience. She danced with professional dancers, grown folks, she did complicated choreography and moves that they rehearsed for months! She rehearsed and learned this in a little over a week. She was so smooth with it! Has such a smooth swag (reminds me of the great Aaliyah??) So cool with it! She is the coolest most confident 11-year-old I know!!!!”

And Tina says she hasn’t ruled out an appearance of her own. “Maybe one of these times,” she told us.

Meanwhile, Tina joked that she’s glad that the sold-out tour has to come because it means friends will stop asking her for tickets.

“Oh God. Everyday people asked me for tickets to the concerts,” she told Page Six, “Ten times a day… It’s not my tickets to give away! It is not my tour.”

Tina, 69, walked the red carpet at Denise Rich’s cancer research fundraiser at Cipriani Wall Street, and told us she gives herself regular exams because she has lost two close friends to breast cancer.

She also told us about the hotly anticipated hair care line that she’s launching with the Destiny’s Child singer.

“I can’t say much,” she told us, “We are going to deal with natural hair, every kind of hair.”

Robin Thicke performed hit hit “Blurred Lines” at the bash and Mary J. Blige performed several songs and Jermaine Dupri DJ’d. Tamron Hall hosted the event, which raised $2.8 million.

Beyoncé Makes It Official: Drops Trailer For ‘Renaissance’ Concert Movie; Global Theatrical Release Set For Dec. 1

(10/2/23) (Trailer) AMC is releasing the concert film of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour on Dec. 1. The 32 Grammy winner released a trailer on her social media channels tonight, making all the heavy buzz official from yesterday. This was expected since it’s the last night of the tour in Kansas City, MO.

Right now, the movie is hitting cinemas in US, Mexico and Canada on Dec 1 with additional offshore cities to be announced. Tickets start at $22 and are currently on sale, and like the Taylor Swift: Eras Tour concert movie, the pic will play at other rival circuits. AMC is releasing the movie in partnership with Beyoncé’s film production co and record label, Parkwood Entertainment. Similar to Eras Tour, AMC is playing Renaissance on the weekends –Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays– for at least four weeks. New York City based distributor Variance is booking cinemas on behalf of AMC in the US, while Cineplex is booking Canada and Cinepolis is booking Central America and Trafalgar Releasing is handling outside North America.

Titled Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, the pic captures the opening show of the tour in Stockholm, Sweden to its grand finale tonight in Kansas City, MO. The tour received 2.7M fans from around the wrold, and has grossed over half billion dollars.

While the Taylor Swift: Eras Tour is already eyeing a wild opening of $75M-$125M, and at last reported already had $65M in presales from the domestic marketplace and Mexico, some distribution sources are snarking that Renaissance won’t put up the types of tickets sales as Swift. Still, even if this concert movie opens to north of $20M, that’s praiseworthy for the first weekend of December which is a dead zone at the box office following the Thanksgiving holiday. Typically the movies that fare well in that post Thanksgiving/post Black Friday weekend period are holdovers of Disney movies, i.e. Frozen 2 ($35.1M), Frozen ($31.6M), Ralph Breaks the Internet ($25.5M), Moana ($28.2M) and Coco ($27.5M). Currently, Disney is set to go wide with 20th Century Studios Jeff Nichols directed Tom Hardy-Jodie Comer-Austin Butler drama The Bikeriders and Lionsgate has John Woo’s first U.S. movie in 20 years, Silent Night. If presales for Renaissance get hot in the next couple of days, expect these features to possibly movie, which was the case when several pivoted away from Eras Tour‘s Oct. 13 date, the most prolific film being Universal’s The Exorcist: Believer which is now going a week early on Oct. 6.

‘Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour’ Next Big Screen Concert Film For AMC Eyes Dec. 1 Theatrical Release

(10/1/23) Deadline has learned exclusively that the theatrical release date for Beyonce Renaissance World Tour is looking like Dec. 1, the post Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend frame which is typically a dead zone at the box office. AMC didn’t respond to request for comment. Interesting that AMC is looking to hit a grand slam in 2023 since the 2024 theatrical release calendar will greatly be shaken up by films pushing due to actors strike. On Dec. 1, 20th Century Studios has the wide release of the Tom Hardy-Jodie Comer-Austin Butler starring, Jeff Nichols directed movie The Bikeriders while Lionsgate has John Woo’s first US film in 20 years, Silent Night. Won’t be shocking if they move.

Previous, 11:20AM: Capitalizing on the anticipated big screen fever of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, we are hearing heavy buzz this morning that AMC’s next big concert film is Beyonce: Renaissance World Tour, which has been another hard-to-get-live event ticket this past year in addition to Swift.

There’s been reports that Beyonce shot Renaissance World Tour in her hometown of Houston, TX back in late September for two days.

Word is that Beyonce is bound to announce this as early as tomorrow when Renaissance stops in Kansas City, MO, roughly 16 miles from the No. 1 exhibitor in the world’s HQ in Leawood. Status of this we understand is that AMC is still in talks on this theatrical release and it’s a similar set-up to Eras Tour with the circuit chiefly distributing to all other big exhibitors i.e. Regal, Cinemark, Marcus, etc. and indie distributor Variance booking. Deadline understands that the Beyonce concert film was getting shopped.

If this does work out, it’s another brilliant stroke by AMC Boss Adam Aron is saving cinema at a time when the 2024 theatrical release schedule could be further shaken up by the ongoing actors strike. Even if the actors strike comes to an end this month, several sources have told Deadline that filming for many movies won’t begin until 2024, and that current release dates could be pushed out. With Legendary/Warner Bros.’ Dune: Part Two departing the first weekend of November this year for March 2024 due to its cast of Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, Florence Pugh and Austin Butler unable to promote, Aron swooped in, made a deal that the Swift family couldn’t refuse to get a big cut of the gross of Eras Tour (as much as 57% shared between Swift and AMC), and gave October a must-see event starting on Oct. 13. Presales two weeks ago in US, Canada and Mexico were at $65M with the projected domestic opening for Eras Tour being exteremely wild between $75M-$125M.

Similar to Swift’s Eras Tour, Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour is one the singer’s highest grossing with more than half billion dollars to date. The tour is in support of her seventh album Renaissance. Beyonce counts 32 Grammys and received an original song Oscar nomination for King Richard

AMC didn’t return request for comment. Variety beat us to the punch getting the news up.

Beyoncé shines bright among Hollywood stars during Renaissance concert tour stop in Los Angeles

    (9/3/23) Lights, cameras, Beyoncé!

The superstar singer shined the brightest in a city full of Hollywood stars during the second night of her epic Renaissance Tour show on Saturday night. She once again packed the massive SoFi Stadium filled with concertgoers wearing gleaming silver outfits at the request of Beyoncé who asked fans to sport the silvery wardrobe for the last month of her spectacular tour.

The crowd included many entertainers and athletes: Viola Davis, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade and Kelly Rowland. Some returned for a second straight night to witness another dazzling show from the impeccable Beyoncé, who will celebrate her 42nd birthday on Monday - the final night of her three-show stint in Inglewood, California. Her previous show Friday night brought out Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, Pedro Pascal, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Brie Larson, Offset and Kris Jenner.

As usual, Beyoncé rose to the occasion as many of her BeyHive faithful tried to match her energy during her set lasting two and a half hours. Once she appeared onstage, it turned into a dance party served with a heavy dosage of self confidence, women’s empowerment and beaming pride.

For much of the night, most attendees on all levels hardly sat down in their stadium seats in Inglewood, California.

Beyoncé instantly recognized the crowd’s support. In return, she expressed her gratitude, calling many in the audience “beautiful faces.”

“I’m grateful to have this perspective and this view of all of you,” she said. “I’ve been able to do what I do for over 26 years — going on 27 years. It’s because of you. It’s because of your loyalty. It’s because of your prayers. I just want to say, ‘Thank you.’”

After her speech, Beyoncé let her show do the rest of her talking. She ran through a number of hits such as “Cuff It,” “Alien Superstar,” “Heated” and “Church Girl” from her critically acclaimed album “Renaissance,” which paid homage to the Black and gay pioneers of the house music genre. The album helped her win four Grammys and become the ceremony’s most decorated artist in history earlier this year.

She brought out her 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter to “My Power,” where she earned a rousing applause during her upbeat choreography set alongside her mother and backup dancers. Blue Ivy also danced down the stage aisle to Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” before she cranked it up even more for her mother’s massive hit “Black Parade.”

While Beyoncé pumped her fist into air, Blue Ivy looked over the crowd in amazement and made a heart symbol with her hands in the same fashion as her father, Jay-Z, who is known for holding up his iconic Roc-A-Fella diamond hand sign.

“Thank guys for the love,” said Beyoncé, who happily praised her daughter’s performance. “I just want to acknowledge the alien. You’ve been to a lot of shows and you are committed. You are killing it superstar. Everybody say, ‘Hey, Ms. Carter.’”

    Of course, the crowd obliged.

Beyoncé performed more of her popular jams from “Formation,” “Break My Soul,” “Savage” and “Run the World (Girls).” Other highlights included a vogue dance session that kept the crowd entertained while she took one of her brief breaks.

Earlier, artists such as DJ Khaled and rapper Roddy Ricch opened for her.

Visually, Beyoncé captivated the audience with her various wardrobes and massive screen on stage that gave all audience members in the stadium a good view of her performance. She once sat on a glittering horse — similar to the one on her “Renaissance” album cover — that seemingly glided in the air.

In closing, Beyoncé went airborne again — this time in a harness — as confetti sprouted out from the stage.

“I want to thank y’all for giving me so much energy tonight,” she told the cheering crowd. “I love y’all so much. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Thank you for your beautiful signs. Thank you for your beautiful wardrobes. I love you deep.”

Beyoncé, Jay-Z buy $200M mansion, most expensive house ever sold in California

(5/19/23) The ’03 Bonnie and Clyde are making power moves.

Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z paid a whopping $200 million for their new home in California, making it the most expensive house ever sold in that state, according to TMZ.

The 30,000-square-foot Malibu property was designed by Japanese master architect Tadao Ando, who also created Kanye West’s $57.3 million mansion he acquired during his divorce from Kim Kardashian.

The all-concrete home was previously owned by art collector William Bell and took him 15 years to build, per the outlet.

The “Crazy In Love” collaborators reportedly got a great deal on the stricture, as it was actually listed for $295 million.

This investment reportedly is also the second most expensive real estate contract in the country, as a New York City apartment was previously sold for $238 million.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions to the Carters’ new purchase, Several people thought the buy was “excessive” and some called Beyoncé, 41, and Jay-Z, 53, “capitalists.”

“No person in a normal society should have so much wealth,” tweeted one person.

“Who tf buys a house that costs this much bro that’s so useless you could buy SO much land to save the earth but you rather spend it on a f–king house…,” wrote another.

Other fans, however, defended the musicians’ massive purchase.

“some of y’all are mad that they’re spending THEIR money the way that THEY want to??? stop worrying ab celebs money and go get a job of ur own. it’s clear y’all are insanely jobless,” wrote a supporter of the couple.

“Beyoncé now literally owns a house in the shape of her favorite number & the most expensive house ever sold. ICONIC,” commented another fan.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have a vast real estate portfolio.

In 2017, the couple — who tied the knot in 2008 and share three children — bought a home in Bel-Air for $88 million, according to TMZ.

That same year, the “Upgrade U” musicians dropped $26 million on 12,000-square-foot a mansion in the Hamptons.

Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ tour setlist: The songs played on opening night

    (5/10/23) Let the “Renaissance” commence.

Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated world tour Wednesday at Friends Arena in Stockholm.

The music superstar uncharacteristically opened her three-hour concert with slower favorites like “Dangerously in Love 2” and “I Care.” She then performed upbeat “Renaissance” cuts including “Alien Superstar” and “Cuff It.”

Greatest hits such as “Love on Top” and “Crazy in Love” followed before the night closed out with “Summer Renaissance.” (See the complete setlist below.)

Page Six broke the news in September 2022 that Beyoncé was taking her “Renaissance” album on the road.

She officially announced the 50-plus-date tour in February, revealing an itinerary that includes stops in London, Amsterdam, Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles and New Orleans, among other metropolises.

Forbes reported Monday that Beyoncé’s latest global trek could out-earn Taylor Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour by a whopping $500 million with an estimated gross of nearly $2.1 billion, which would make it the most successful concert series of all time.

“Renaissance” was one of last year’s most celebrated releases, landing at No. 1 on Page Six’s list of the best albums of 2022.

The dance record took home four Grammys, making Queen Bey the most decorated artist in the awards show’s history with 32 career wins.

Beyoncé, 41, has described “Renaissance” as the first part of a “three-act project,” though it is unclear what else she has in store for her Beyhive.

The entertainer last went on tour in 2018 with her husband, Jay-Z, to promote their joint album, “Everything Is Love.”

“Renaissance” is her first solo outing since 2016’s “Formation” world tour.

    Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” world tour setlist:

    Dangerously in Love 2
    Flaws and All
    1+1
I’m Goin’ Down (Mary J. Blige cover)
    I Care
    I’m That Girl
    Cozy
    Alien Superstar
    Lift Off
    Cuff It
    Energy
    Break My Soul
    Formation
    Diva
    Run the World (Girls)
    My Power
    Black Parade
    Savage (Remix)
    Partition
    Church Girl
    Get Me Bodied
Before I Let Go (Maze cover)

Beyonce´ & Adidas Mutually Agree To Part Ways After $50 Mil Decline In Sales

(3/23/23) Those numbers were also considerably lower than 2021's tally of $93 million ... and fresh marketing campaigns with celebs such as Irina Shayk, Yara Shahidi, Megan Thee Stallion and current hip hop it-girl Ice Spice weren't able to rouse the public's interest at the cash register.

Before cutting ties, 2023's projections were shifted from $335 mill to $65 mill. Beyonce´'s contract is finished at the end of the year but is still on track to earn her $20 mil annual salary.

What's also interesting about the split is Beyonce´ is set to embark on her Renaissance World Tour ... which could've brought in huge merch sales for Ivy Park.

The news spells more shaky ground for Adidas ... they're also expecting a crazy $1.3 billion loss in sales this year following Kanye West's deflection.

The Grammys GOAT: Beyoncé Becomes All-Time Champion With 32nd Career Win

(2/5/2023) Beyoncé has broken the career Grammy Awards record and is now the most-awarded artist of all time.

Going into the live telecast of the Grammys, Beyoncé only needed two more wins to top the late composer Georg Solti’s record of 31 wins. During the CBS broadcast, Beyoncé tied the record after she took a win for “Cuff It” for Best R&B Song and broke it with a win for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

The artist was not there to receive it to accept the first award and missed out on getting the Gramophone from Viola Davis, who became an EGOT after her Grammy win during the preshow. Trevor Noah took the stage to inform the audience that Beyoncé was “on her way” and running late to the live ceremony. He later presented a statuette to her.

“Beyoncé has now equaled the record for most Grammys of any individual of all time,” Noah said.

Beyoncé finally broke the record when she won the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album award for Renaissance.

Receiving a standing ovation as she took the stage, the singer was visibly emotional holding back her tears as everyone cheered her on.

Beyoncé started off by thanking God and her uncle Johnny who she says was there in spirit. She continued, “I’d like to thank my parents, my father, my mother for loving me and pushing me. I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching. I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.”

The first Grammy Awards in 1958 had 28 categories. Now, 65 shows later, there are 91 categories, down from the all-time high of 109.

The record for the most Grammy Awards won in a lifetime had been held by Solti, music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for 22 years from 1969-91. He won 31 competitive Grammy Awards out of 74 nominations and also was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. She also eases past third-place victor Quincy Jones, who won 28 awards.

The Grammys were criticized after the 59th edition, when Adele’s album 25 won Album of the Year, beating Beyonce’s Lemonade. Even winner Adele acknowledged the perceived injustice of it all, groveling in her acceptance that she couldn’t accept the award because Beyonce was “the light” for all artists. Adele broke her Grammy in half, ostensibly to give Beyonce something to take home.

There were many people behind the curtain on Beyonce’s Renaissance album. Production credits include Mike Dean, Syd, The-Dream, Hit-Boy, Skrillex, Honey Dijon, and A.G. Cook.

There are also writing credits from her husband, Jay-Z, frequent collaborator Drake, and Sabrina Claudio.

Beyoncé Announces Club Renaissance in Los Angeles

(12/15/22) The post Beyoncé Announces Club Renaissance in Los Angeles appeared first on Consequence.

Beyoncé has announced Club Renaissance, a two-night event taking place at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles on December 17th and 18th.

What exactly Club Renaissance entails is unclear, but the event is being presented by Amazon Music and Parkwood. At least one part of the programming appears to be a playback of Beyoncé’s latest album, Renaissance, in spatial audio.

Tickets to Club Renaissance, which were made available for free to fans on Thursday, were limited to one per person with a 21+ age limit. (Tickets are, of course, now sold out.) The location of the venue will be revealed to guests prior to the first event on Saturday, December 17th.

Beyoncé previously held a private Club Renaissance event in New York City following the release of Renaissance. The VIP guest list included Kendrick Lamar, Donald Glover, and Chloe Bailey.

Renaissance, Beyoncé’s seventh album to date, was released in July 2022. The singer is reportedly embarking on a supporting tour in 2023, but an announcement is still forthcoming.

Beyoncé Salutes Her Friend Serena Williams Ahead Of U.S. Open Swan Song

(8/29/22) (Video) “When the world writes her down in history, we’ll begin where she started — at love. No points, zero score, just love.”

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter narrates a new tribute to Serena Williams ahead of the U.S. Open, the final tennis tournament of the latter’s GOAT career. Watch the extended Gatorade commercial above.

“It’s a love that started a movement,” Beyoncé says. “A movement to always love exactly who you are and who you can be.”

Here’s how the advertiser sets up the clip, which features clips from an unparalleled career interspersed with scenes of everyday empowerment: Serena Williams has shown us the power of love — for yourself and everything you do. Her self-belief has been an inspiration to everyone, but especially young women of color. She has started a movement to realize that you can do anything if you have self-love.

Beyoncé adds that the movement also embodies to importance of feeling “like a queen unapologetically with a crown indefinitely. To cherish every muscle and every curve your body exhibits.”

After 26 years of playing professionally — without hyperbole one of the greatest careers in any sport anywhere ever — the 40-year-old Williams begins her tennis swan song this week at the U.S. Open, which she has won six times among her 23 Grand Slam singles titles. She also will play doubles at Flushing Meadows with her older sister Venus as part of the farewell tourney.

Williams said a few weeks ago that she will be “evolving away from tennis” after the Open, which begins today and runs for the next two weeks in Queens.

Beyoncé Tops Music Charts With ‘Break My Soul’ For The First Time In 14 Years As Solo Artist

(8/10/22) Beyoncé has hit the pinnacle of the music charts with her single “Break My Soul.” The singer topped the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist for the first time in 14 years. Beyoncé’s lead single from “Renaissance” first hit the charts six weeks ago and it rose to its peak the same week the album made its debut as No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list.

It was in 2008 when Beyoncé reigned the Hot 100 by herself with “Single Ladies,” lasting four weeks on top. However, the Grammy award-winning star had been at the helm of the charts with collaborations since then.

Beyoncé took the top position with Ed Sheeran in 2017 with “Perfect” and in 2020 with Meghan Thee Stallion as they collaborated with the “Savage” remix.

To make room for “Break My Soul” on the Hot 100, Beyoncé knocked down Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” to the second spot after being there for two weeks. Harry Styles’ “As It Was” was bumped down from second to third place but only after sitting on top for 10 weeks.

“Renaissance” is Beyoncé’s seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and with its launch, it sent all 16 songs to the Hot 100, according to Billboard.

With “Break My Soul” at the top, “Cuff It” took the 13th spot, while “Alien Superstar” was at No. 19. “Church Girl” was 22nd, “I’m That Girl” was 26th, “Energy,” feat. BEAM was 27th, and “Cozy” was 30th.

The other songs and their positions on the charts were as follow: “Plastic Off the Sofa” (41), “Virgo’s Groove” (43), “Summer Renaissance” (47), “Heated” (51), “Thique” (53), “Move,” feat. Grace Jones & Tems (55), “Pure/Honey” (64), “American Has a Problem” (69), and “All Up in Your Mind” (70).

Beyoncé to remove offensive word from new song

(8/3/22) Beyoncé is removing an offensive term for disabled people from a new song on her record “Renaissance,” just weeks after rapper Lizzo also changed lyrics to remove the same word.

“The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced,” a spokeswoman for Beyoncé wrote in a statement to The Associated Press on Monday.

The song “Heated,” which was co-written with Canadian rapper Drake among several others, uses the word “spaz,” which is considered a derogatory reference to the medical term spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy.

Lizzo also removed the word from one of her songs, “Grrrls,” in June after disability advocates complained about the lyrics. Lizzo said in a statement she never wanted to promote derogatory language.

Disability advocate Hannah Diviney, who pointed out Lizzo’s lyrics that led to the change, wrote on Twitter that hearing the word again used by Beyoncé “felt like a slap in the face to me, the disabled community & the progress we tried to make with Lizzo.”

Beyonce's 'Renaissance' Jay, Drake, Pharrell & More ... Hip Hop Stars On Board!!!

(7/21/22) Beyonce and her famous friends have the Internet in a Thursday tizzy for her new album, which is still a week away ... but now we know, it'll be hip-hop heavy when it's released.

The megastar revved up her 269 million Instagram followers with a slick "Renaissance" tracklist drop that revealed popping song names like "Alien Superstar," "Heated" and "America Has A Problem."

Apple Music put the album up for pre-order today ... unveiling the entire contributor list and Queen Bey's enlisted some heavy hitters!

Jay-Z, Drake, The-Dream + Tricky Stewart, Pharrell + Chad Hugo, Kanye artist 070 Shake and many more are listed as contributors ... meaning they could have either collaborated on the project, been sampled or both!

Hit-Boy also reunites with Bey yet again to produce the song "Thique."

The album drops on July 29 ... when the Beyhive will likely force a new world order.

Fans already lost their minds over the album cover art -- Beyonce stunting on a crystal horse, while promising an escape from "perfectionism" and plenty of options to wiggle!

Beyoncé Releases New Single ‘Break My Soul’ A Little Early

(6/20/22) UPDATED: Beyoncé dropped her first single from her upcoming album Renaissance a little early. The song, “Break My Soul,” was supposed to drop at midnight ET, but instead went up on Tidal, the streaming platform once owned by her husband Jay-Z, just before 10 pm ET.

PREVIOUSLY: Beyoncé will release her new single “Break My Soul” from the upcoming album Renaissance at midnight ET tonight.

The announcement was made with a simple “BREAK MY SOUL midnight ET” listed in the singer’s social media profiles today.

Last week, the Oscar and Emmy nominee and 28-time Grammy Award winner teased her next solo album, Renaissance, which is due for release on July 29. Fans had been tipped off that something was possibly afoot when the singer deleted the profile pictures and bios from her social media accounts earlier this month.

The album is expected to include 16 tracks, and would serve as a follow up to Beyoncé’s 2016’s Lemonade.

Beyoncé Teases New Music Project ‘Renaissance’, Release Date Set

(6/19/22) Oscar and Emmy nominee and 28-time Grammy Award winner Beyoncé has teased what is speculated to be her next solo album, Renaissance, which is due for release on July 29. Fans had been tipped off that something was possibly afoot when the singer deleted the profile pictures and bios from her social media accounts earlier this month.

That changed today with her profiles all updated to read “act i Renaissance 7.29.” Other social media accounts, for music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple and Tidal, also posted the tease and date. Beyoncé’s website provided links to “pre-save” and “pre-add” options. Renaissance t-shirts, a photo booklet and poster are also available to purchase. It is unclear if the “act i” means this is the first in a multi-part project.

    The countdown has officially begun. Beyoncé's back July 29 #RENAISSANCE pic.twitter.com/BckUCIFbIC — Spotify (@Spotify) June 16, 2022

The record is expected to include 16 tracks. If this is indeed Beyoncé’s next solo album, it would mark her seventh and would act as a follow up to 2016’s Lemonade.

Since that record’s release, Beyoncé voiced Nala in Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King for which she produced and curated the soundtrack; released joint album Everything Is Love with Jay-Z in 2018; wrote, directed and starred in Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé on Netflix; wrote directed and produced album Beyoncé Presents: Making The Gift; orchestrated the visual album Black Is King for Disney Plus; and released the single “Be Alive” for the soundtrack to Warner Bros’ 2021 biopic King Richard. She kicked off the Oscars last March with an opening performance of the nominated song from a tennis court stage in Compton.

Watch Beyonce Bring Compton To The Oscars With Opening Performance Of ‘King Richard’ Number “Be Alive”

(3/28/22) (Video) It felt so good to “Be Alive” with Beyoncé opening the 94th annual Academy Awards. On Sunday the Oscar Awards commenced with the superstar performing her Oscar-nominated King Richard number, written alongside Dixson, on a bright tennis ball-yellow outdoor stage in Compton.

The pre-taped performance saw King Richard actresses Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton walk toward the neon yellow tennis court where Beyoncé and her back-up dancers are in formation. With an orchestra and balletic choreography, the number starts delicately before the punchy beat kicks in.

After Beyoncé concluded her dramatic performance with a salute, Oscars coverage made its way to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall started the awards ceremony with talk about the Golden Globes, Don’t Say Gay and more. Read more about the opening here and watch Beyoncé’s performance above.

Coming into the ceremony Beyoncé was up for the best achievement in music written for motion pictures (original song) category. The nomination marks the mega-star’s first. In addition to that category, King Richard was also nominated for best lead actor, best picture, best supporting actress, best editing and best original screenplay.

The 94th Academy Awards were live and in-person at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The annual ceremony aired on ABC.

Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Reba McEntire Among Performers Confirmed For Oscar Show, But No Van Morrison; Expect “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” Production Number

(3/22/22) Beyoncé has now been officially confirmed to sing in one of the slots of Best Original Song contenders on the 94th Oscars on Sunday. As noted in the Deadline article, speculation is her performance of the nominated song (co-written with Dixson) called “Be Alive” from King Richard will take place via satellite from a Compton tennis court. That aspect, however, was not in the Academy’s long-awaited announcement today of plans for the Best Song presentations on the ABC Oscarcast.

As my colleague Mike Fleming noted, the formal announcement would come after voting closed Tuesday, and indeed it did — exactly at 5 p.m. PT, which is the same moment ballots had to be in to PricewaterhouseCoopers. The campaign is over. All that is left now is the show itself.

The Best Song performance lineup as expected also includes Billie Eilish and Finneas with “No Time To Die,” Reba McEntire with “Somehow You Do” from Four Good Days, and Sebastian Yatra with “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto. Like Beyoncé, all of them performed the nominated songs in the films they are featured in.

Academy producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowan made the announcement today and noted that Van Morrison, who wrote and sang the other nominated tune, “Down to Joy” from Belfast, will not be attending the Oscars due to his touring schedule, so the song won’t be performed at all. That seems to be a modern-day rule with Academy Awards producers: If the original artist can’t be there, then the song won’t be part of the show other than as a nominee. You might recall that wasn’t always the case. Who can forget Connie Stevens singing Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die”? Or Telly Savalas crooning Cinderella Liberty’s “Nice To Be Around”?

Not in the Academy’s release about these Best Song performances: “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” the surprise Lin-Manuel Miranda smash hit (like his “Dos Oruguitas” also from Encanto), will also be part of the show in a big production number, reliable sources confirm to Deadline. Even though it wasn’t submitted for a nomination (it almost assuredly would have made the cut in retrospect), how can we not talk about “Bruno” on the Oscars, which is aiming for popular entertainment this year to boost ratings?

In addition to Animated Feature and Original Song, Encanto is also nominated for Germaine Franco’s Original Music Score, one of the eight categories controversially selected to be presented in the hour before the ABC telecast and then edited into the show. Also among those nominated for score is Hans Zimmer for Dune, but he, like Morrison, won’t be at the Oscars to see if he wins because he also is on tour with his own show and will be on stage in Amsterdam on Sunday.

This year’s Original Song nominees and performers are as follows (in alphabetical order by song title):

“Be Alive” from King Richard – Performed by Beyoncé
Music and Lyric by DIXSON and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter

“Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto – Performed by Sebastián Yatra
Music and Lyric by Lin-Manuel Miranda

    “Down To Joy” from Belfast
Music and Lyric by Van Morrison

“No Time To Die” from No Time to Die – Performed by Billie Eilish and FINNEAS
Music and Lyric by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell

“Somehow You Do” from Four Good Days – Performed by Reba McEntire
Music and Lyric by Diane Warren

The 94th Oscars are Sunday at the Dolby Theatre and will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and in more than 200 territories worldwide. American Sign Language (ASL) provided by Certified Deaf Interpreters, live closed captioning and audio description will be available during the live broadcast.

Oscars Courting Beyoncé To Grace The Stage Sunday

(3/21/22) The Oscarcast is working on a big get. Deadline is hearing that organizers are courting Beyoncé to be part of the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday. She is nominated for Best Original Song for “Be Alive,” the theme from King Richard that was written by Dixson and Beyoncé.

Last year, the songs were separated into a pre-show before the Oscars, but if the Academy succeeds in getting Beyoncé, she will be a high point for the show, for sure, though it hasn’t been made clear where the performances will be done, and there has been rumor she will sing from the a tennis courts in Compton where Venus and Serena Williams honed their game. That would require a pre-tape, and word is that Beyoncé only wanted to do that if all the other songs were pre-taped or had the option. She didn’t want special treatment, so maybe it happens live, and maybe it happens at the Dolby Theatre. The Academy would not comment.

The musical numbers should be a highlight of the show. Among the nominated tunes to be performed most likely are Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Dos Oruguitas,” from Encanto, there is Van Morrison for “Down to Joy,” from Belfast, and Billie Eilish and brother Finneas for the No Time To Die 007 theme. Finally, there is Diane Warren’s “Somehow You Do” from Four Good Days, sung by Reba McEntire.

The Academy so far has announced presenters for Sunday but not musical talent, presumably because there are such big names involved. Voting closes tomorrow at 5 p.m. PT and expect this situation to be clarified by the Academy shortly after. Stay tuned.

Mathew Knowles Sells Music World Entertainment Group To APX Capital, Plots ‘King Richard’-Style Biopic As Part Of $275M Film & TV Fund

(3/17/22) Mathew Knowles, father of Beyoncé and former manager of Destiny’s Child, is gearing up for his own King Richard-style origin story as part of a wide-ranging deal with investment fund APX Capital Group.

The media fund has acquired Knowles’ Music World Entertainment Group and will merge its film and TV division within APX Capital Group. Knowles will manage this new division, which will be responsible for a €250M (US$275M) fund for film and TV co-productions between the U.S. and Italy.

One of the first projects that is set to come out of the deal is The Mathew Knowles Story, which will trace his story of how he helped his daughters become the global superstars that they are today and how he managed both Destiny’s Child and the solo careers of Beyoncé and Solange as well as Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

Knowles has evidently been buoyed by the success of King Richard, the story of Richard Williams, the father and coach of Venus and Serena Williams, starring Will Smith in the title role.

As part of the deal, the company will own 10,000 hours of footage depicting the history of the Knowles family in the music industry through never-before-seen images, videos and music.

He will also develop, finance and produce a range of diverse content across feature films, scripted series and documentaries. Knowles will exec produce alongside Baram, Wiesenthal, and Pelliccia.

APX Capital Group, which takes advantage of Italy’s tax credit program, was launched by Yona Wiesenthal, former CEO of the Israel Broadcast Authority and content chief at Israeli DBS platform YES and Augusto Pelliccia, Italian film financier and CEO of Augustus Group, with New York real estate entrepreneur Noam Baram as an equity partner in North America.

Knowles will joins APX’s board immediately and the structure of the financing will be streamlined through APX’s Italian subsidiary, MMF Global Italia. It is APX’s latest deal following a move to finance several films by Kees Kassander and Peter Greenaway.

Knowles said the partnership marked a “milestone” moment for his company and career.

“The decision to partner with APX Capital Group is well made and corresponds to Music World Entertainment Group’s intent to expand its film and television portfolio. Through this unique collaboration and as head of this new division under APX I’ll be able to share the story of my life by combining compelling storytelling with access to exceptional talent and music that will both entertain and emphasize a cultural awareness that’s necessary now more than ever. This is the story of my life, and I am honored to be able to transmit it even further through this alliance.”

“Mathew’s unparalleled career in the industry is shaped by his expertise in organizational culture, ethical leadership and activism. We’re tremendously honored to partner with him to bring attention to his personal accounts and the important cultural subjects that define our shared experience,” added Noam Baram, Co-CEO and Head of North America for APX Capital Group. “These stories will encourage us all to look at our history, respect each other’s perspectives and learn to co-exist in a diverse world that’s united by universal human values.”

“We are beyond thrilled to reach this groundbreaking agreement with Mathew and his team to develop impactful content told through the voice of one of the most successful and insightful entrepreneurs in entertainment today,” said Yona Wiesenthal, Joint Co-CEO of APX Capital Group.

Beyoncé and Zendaya to remake 1959 classic ‘Imitation of Life’: source

(2/18/22) Two of Tinseltown’s biggest stars are reportedly teaming up for a new project.

Beyoncé and Zendaya are in talks to remake Douglas Sirk’s classic 1959 melodrama “Imitation of Life,” according to the Sun.

The pop queen, 40, and the “Spider-Man” star, 25, worked together six years ago on a music video and are allegedly eager to join forces once more.

“Imitation of Life,” which is based on the best-selling novel by Fannie Hurst, revolves around a white woman who takes in an African-American widow and her daughter, Sarah Jane, whose fair skin allows her to pass as white.

It starred Lana Turner, Juanita Moore and Sandra Dee.

The film, which was nominated for two Academy Awards, deals with issues of race, class and gender.

Beyoncé is reportedly interested in producing the flick.

It’s unclear whether she would also appear on screen in the film. Zendaya, who is currently starring in HBO’s mega-hit “Euphoria,” would likely play the character of Sarah Jane.

“Everyone wants Zendaya in their films at the moment but it feels like this could be the movie to take her to the next level and really get some awards buzz,” an insider told the Sun.

The Post has reached out to Beyoncé’s and Zendaya’s reps for comment.

Back in 2016, Zendaya appeared in the music video for Beyonce’s track “All Night.”

Of the experience, Zendaya gushed at the time: “It was literally nuts because anybody who knows me knows that I’ve been obsessed with Beyoncé since birth, been to every single concert that she’s ever had.

“It’s a true obsession. It was an honor and I freaked out,” she added.

(12/21/21) The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has whittled its Original Song Oscar category to 15 songs that made the shortlist Tuesday, with a Grammy-loaded roster of talent bolstering the field.

Among the notable performers on the 15-song shortlist are music power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the former with “Be Alive” from Warner Bros’ King Richard and the latter with with “Guns Go Bang” from Netflix’s Western The Harder They Fall. The pair have 51 Grammys between them and would be the rare husband-wife competition if both made the final nominations list when they come out in February.

Billie Eilish also made the cut with “No Time to Die,” the title song from the 25th James Bond film from MGM. The song was released back in 2020 before the film went through a spate of release-date changes brought on by the pandemic, finally hitting screens in this October.

And of course Diane Warren, who is vying for her 13th Oscar nomination, is on the shortlist with “Somehow You Do,” sung by Reba McEntire for the indie Four Good Days.

Beyoncé releasing new Adidas x Ivy Park collaboration with Peloton

(10/23/21) Fans will soon be able to run the world – or at least their Peloton treadmills – in Beyoncé’s latest activewear collaboration.

The pop superstar’s Adidas x Ivy Park label is teaming up with Peloton for their first capsule collection of footwear and apparel.

The line, which drops Nov. 10, accompanies the second installment of Peloton’s Beyoncé Artist Series classes, and will feature a sneaker – the IVP Ultraboost – in addition to 29 pieces of apparel, ranging in price from $45 to $200.

Ivy Park announced the line, dubbed “#PELOTONPARK,” in an Instagram post on Friday with a video featuring Peloton instructors including Ally Love, Cody Rigsby and Becs Gentry donning designs from the new range.

Similar to Ivy Park’s previous collection colorways, the Peloton partnership features pops of neon yellow in addition to black and olive pieces.

Sweat-ready styles are set to range from cutout sports bras and hoodies to easily layered shirts and – what else? – bike shorts.

“The first-of-its-kind collection celebrates the joining of music, sport and fashion,” Adidas said in a press release. “Purposefully crafted to empower everyone on their fitness journey, Adidas x Ivy Park x Peloton is a statement of inclusivity and energetic movement.”

The collection comes on the heels of the “Crazy in Love” hitmaker’s Ivy Park x Adidas Rodeo collection, released in August, and her all-orange Flex Park collection, released in July.

“Sweetie, we just had Rodeo two days ago. Let us breathe, dear,” one fan commented on the Instagram announcement, while another added, “Now Bey…. Rodeo already done made me bankrupt.”

Others couldn’t wait to give the styles a spin while spinning, with one writing, “I don’t even work out like I should, but … I’m about to [buy] a Peloton to match the fits.”

Following the Nov. 10 launch, the collection will be available in sizes XXS-3XL at adidas.com, apparel.onepeloton.com and in select adidas stores.

And with Beyoncé’s collections notorious for selling out swiftly, you might have to sprint to snag some of the designs.

Beyoncé's new song 'Be Alive' is one of the most emotional moments in the Venus and Serena Williams biopic 'King Richard'

(10/19/21) The emotional final scene of the upcoming Venus and Serena Williams biopic "King Richard" is soundtracked by a new Beyoncé song titled "Be Alive."

The original song - which Beyoncé wrote for the film with artist DIXSON - plays as the closing credits of the movie pass across the screen, and it was greeted with cheers at the premiere of "King Richard" at the London Film Festival last week.

"Be Alive" features a similarly powerful, drum-heavy rhythmic quality with songs like "Freedom" from Beyonce's 2019 "Lemonade." The song also carries strong political messages about feminism and Black life, which link to many of the themes explored in the film.

"I got all my sisters by my side," Beyoncé can be heard singing during the song alongside, "I couldn't rub this Black off even if I tried."

Real-life footage from the lives of Serena and Venus Williams, including home movies shot by their father, Richard, accompanies the song. Many of the images depicted in the home movies are recreated in the film with Will Smith in the titular role of Richard Williams.

The film, which was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, follows Smith's Richard as he fights to launch the professional tennis careers of his two young daughters from their home in Compton and charts how their ultimate success has helped to change the game of tennis.

In addition to Smith, "King Richard" also stars Aunjanue Ellis as Serena and Venus's mother Oracene "Brandi" Williams. Tony Goldwyn as their youth coach Paul Cohen, and Jon Bernthal as coach Rick Macci. Both Venus and Serena served as executive producers on the film.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé teased that she had new music on the way telling Harper's Bazaar that she spent much of the last 18 months working on her next solo album.

"With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again," she told the publication. "I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I've been in the studio for a year and a half."

"Be Alive" will also, of course, make Beyoncé eligible for a best original song nomination at the Oscars. The 40-year-old who has won 28 Grammys - the most ever by a female artist - has never been nominated by the American film Academy.

"King Richard" debuts in theaters and on HBO Max on November 19.

Bee-yond! Beyoncé reveals she is raising honey bees at home

(8/11/21) Bzzz bzzz … Bee-yoncé is raising bees.

Beyoncé’s fans have long identified as “the Beyhive,” but the legendary singer now has her own real-life beehives at home, she told Harper’s Bazaar for its September issue.

“Now I’m building a hemp and honey farm. I’ve even got hives on my roof!” she said.

She didn’t specify which of her properties her bees live on — Miami? Bel Air? New Orleans? — but she was most recently staying in the Hamptons with husband Jay-Z and their children, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir, at their $26 million mansion.

“During quarantine, I went from overindulgences to creating positive rituals drawing from past generations and putting my own spin on things … I’m so happy that my daughters will have the example of those rituals from me,” she told the magazine.

A representative did not return a request for confirmation about the beehives’ location. Beyoncé has also traveled to Miami in the past few months.

Beyoncé hasn’t always loved bees. As a child, she and two other girls discovered bees in a bush that sent them screaming, a home video used in her recent advertising campaign with Adidas shows.

“Leave those bees alone!” a man, presumably Beyoncé’s father, can be heard saying in the video as a young Knowles screams on her front porch.

Beyoncé’s newfound interest in raising bees comes from the healing properties of honey, she said. Honey has been proven to have antibacterial properties, according to studies.

“I found healing properties in honey that benefit me and my children,” she said.

“Leave those bees alone!” a man — presumably Beyoncé’s father — can be heard saying in the video as a young Beyoncé screams on her front porch.

If the swarm is housed on the roof of her Hamptons home, it’s not clear where it would perch on the mostly sloped rooftop.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z purchased the gated, guarded Hamptons home on Georgica Pond in 2017. The main house spans 12,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms. The 2-acre estate also has a 1,800-square-foot guest cottage, Page Six reported.

The home is near a private airport, which has also dedicated space to beekeeping amid threats the celebrity-favorite transport hub could close.

Beekeeping has become increasingly popular in recent years. Martha Stewart is one celebrity fan of the hobby, and Long Islanders have hopped on the trend.

Beekeepers’ hives have popped up on Brooklyn rooftops, on the Bank of America Tower, on the Brooks Brothers flagship and in the homes of veterans — although not everyone has been happy about it.

On TikTok, beekeeping methodology has stirred controversy, The Post previously reported.

Beyoncé is also growing hemp, she said in the interview.

“I discovered CBD on my last tour, and I’ve experienced its benefits for soreness and inflammation. It helped with my restless nights and the agitation that comes from not being able to fall asleep,” she said.

Jay-Z is the chief brand strategist at California marijuana dispensary Caliva, and Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, is a medical marijuana user who works in the marijuana farmland business, he told Page Six.

Beyoncé’s ‘Formation’ named best music video of all time

(7/31/21) I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé’s “Formation” is the best music video of all time — according to Rolling Stone.

“Formation” secured the No. 1 spot on a list of 100 music videos ranked by the magazine. The video, released in 2016 and directed by Melina Matsoukas, pushed other iconic music videos like Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” Prince’s “Kiss” and Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” aside.

Beyoncé’s “Formation” video featured several striking visuals, including the 39-year-old laying on top of a sinking police car in a ruined New Orleans and a wall with the words “stop shooting us” spray-painted on it.

According to director Matsoukas, Queen Bey wanted the video to show the “historical impact of slavery on black love, and what it has done to the black family,” as she explained to The New Yorker in 2017.

“I wanted to show — this is black people. We triumph, we suffer, we’re drowning, we’re being beaten, we’re dancing, we’re eating, and we’re still here,” Matsoukas added while discussing the “Formation” video’s concept.

However, critics were quick to categorize the video — and Beyoncé — as “anti-police.”

Beyoncé denied the accusations in an interview with Elle claiming that anyone who truly believed she was “anti-police” was wrong.

“I’m an artist and I think the most powerful art is usually misunderstood,” the mother of three told Elle in April 2016. “But anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is completely mistaken. I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of officers who sacrifice themselves to keep us safe.

Beyoncé released the “Formation” music video the night before performing at the Super Bowl in 2016.

Beyoncé then went on to explain exactly what the “Formation” message was.

“But let’s be clear: I am against police brutality and injustice. Those are two separate things,” she explained.

Beyoncé is featured on the list two more times — “Single Ladies” at No. 12 and “Telephone,” a collaboration with Lady Gaga, placed at 66.

Jay-Z & Beyonce New Orleans Mansion ... Allegedly Set on Fire

(7/23/21) Jay-Z and Beyonce are going to be in the market for a cleaning crew ... after a mansion in New Orleans, they reportedly own, caught on fire.

TMZ has confirmed firefighters responded Wednesday night to a 1-alarm fire at the Spanish baroque mansion in the Garden District. We're told the fire department got the call around 6 PM and a little over 2 hours later the fire was fully extinguished.

At this point the extent of the damage is unclear ... but a 1-alarm fire's no joke. Apparently, it took 22 firefighters to knock down the blaze.

Luckily, there were no injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown. Thankfully, a properly working smoke alarm alerted the fire department about the blaze.

As to whether the Carters own the house ... Curbed New Orleans reported back in 2015 the listed owner, Sugarcane Park LLC, shows its mailing address is the one for Bey's management company, Parkwood Entertainment.

As for the house itself ... it was reportedly built in 1925 as a Presbyterian church before it was re-purposed as a ballet school. The 3-story house features a main residence, 3 separate apartments, 26-foot ceilings and a green roof.

Update 4:15 PM PT -- Officials in NOLA tell TMZ ... this house fire has now been classified as a simple arson.

We're told officers initially responded to the scene following a call about a suspicious person, but upon arriving and investigating ... they determined fire had been set to the property.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z take a beach stroll with Hamptons pal Jack Dorsey

(7/2/21) Beyoncé and Jay-Z were snapped going for a walk along the beach Thursday with their Hamptons pal, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

All three kept it casual to beat the summer heat while Out East: The 51-year-old Brooklyn rapper rocked a white tee, track pants and sneakers, while his pop star wife, 39, donned a black tee and shorts, along with a COVID-19-guarding face mask.

Dorsey, 44, pounded the pavement in a white tee, shorts and sandals.

Dorsey’s digital-payments processor Square is in the process of buying majority ownership of Jay-Z’s music streaming platform, TIDAL, for nearly $300 million, the companies announced back in March.

While Hov will be essentially handing over control of Tidal to Dorsey, he’ll be compensated with a seat on Square’s board of directors, as well as $297 million through a mix of cash and stock. Jay-Z bought TIDAL in 2015 for $56 million.

“TIDAL started with the idea of honoring artists by being artist-owned and led, focused on an uncompromised experience of the art. It’s refreshing and right,” Dorsey said in a tweet. “The vision only grows stronger as it’s matched with more powerful tools for artists, inclusive of new ways of getting paid.”

“Given what Square has been able to do for sellers of all sizes and individuals through Cash App, we believe we can now work for artists to see the same success for them, and us. We’re going to start small and focus on the most critical needs of artists and growing their fanbases.”

Rumors swirl Beyoncé and Jay-Z commissioned world’s most expensive car

(5/28/21) Beyoncé and Jay-Z may have just added the most expensive car in the world to their already luxurious fleet.

This week, Rolls-Royce unveiled its $28 million Boat Tail convertible for a client who clearly enjoys the finer things in life, such as a rear deck that contains a picnic set and a double refrigerator to keep vintage champagne chilled. Rumor has it, a “Crazy in Love” couple were behind the creation of the car.

“It’s thought this fantastic car has been commissioned by Beyoncé and Jay-Z with all its detailing matching their favorite things,” an industry source told the UK’s Telegraph.

Built for the Mediterranean backroads of the French Riviera, where Beyoncé, 39, and Jay-Z, 51, have frequented, the owners of this British luxury vehicle will be able to sip bubbly during outdoor picnics, as a “double refrigerator houses the clients’ favorite vintages of Armand de Brignac,” which can be “rapidly cooled to precisely six degrees.”

It’s worth noting that the rapper sold a 50 percent stake in Armand de Brignac to Moët Hennessy in February.

Boasting a blue exterior — perhaps a nod to the Bey and Jay’s eldest daughter, 9-year-old Blue Ivy — the luxury ride also features two-sided timepieces, one for a man and one for a woman, from Bovet 1822 that can be worn or used as car clocks.

While the car has a big price tag, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who have been married since 2008, can surely afford it. They have reported net worths of $500 million and $1.4 billion, respectively, according to Celebrity Net Worth and Forbes.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, has called the Boat Tail the company’s “most ambitious project yet.”

In addition to this four-seater, 19-foot Boat Tail, only two other coachbuilt vehicles will be made.

Reps for Beyoncé and Jay-Z did not immediately return our request for comment.

Rolls-Royce, meanwhile, had no comment on the speculation that the “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” collaborators commissioned the vehicle, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z hit party at Omar Hernandez’s new Miami supper club

(4/19/21) Beyoncé and Jay- Z took Miami over the weekend and one of their first stops was opening night of Omar Hernandez’s private supper club “Nights at the Saxony” at the Faena Hotel.

It’ll be a weekly private event at the hotel’s Saxony Bar.

Spies at the bash told us the couple was “very well-escorted” and appeared “relaxed and chill,” hanging in Hernandez’s private cove.

Hotelier Alan Faena, Naeem Khan, Colin Cowie, a pregnant Karolina Kurkova and her husband Archie Drury were also on the scene.

Meanwhile, party guy Cuba Gooding Jr. showed up with girlfriend Claudine DeNiro for night two of Hernandez’s party and showed off his karaoke skills. He and David Bryan from Bon Jovi belted out “It’s My Life” and Journey’s “Faithfully.” Gooding was also spotted hanging out and taking photos with drag star Adora.

“We love you Omar,” Gooding shouted on the mic.

One partygoer described the scene as a “magical weekend of reconnecting and feeling alive!”

This is Hernandez’s first party since splitting from the Omar’s brand he launched in New York with his venues Vaucluse and La Boîte. His former partners still operate under his name and brought their own party, Omar’s La Plage, to Miami in March. He distanced himself from the brand after disagreeing on how to operate during the pandemic.

“We’re slowly parting ways. I’m slowly phasing out and going back to my own roots. La Boîte and La Plage is a spinoff of what we’ve done in the past, but now I’m transitioning into something else,” Hernandez told Page Six last month.

Beyoncé storage units robbed of $1 million in luxury goods

(3/28/21) They need to put a better lock on it.

Thieves who recently hit Beyoncé’s storage units in Los Angeles walked away with luxury handbags and dresses worth more than $1 million, according to a report.

Three storage units rented by the singer’s Parkwood Entertainment production company were burglarized twice by thieves earlier this month, Los Angeles police said, according to TMZ.

Authorities told the entertainment news site most of the items in the lockers were owned by Beyoncé, who is the latest celebrity to have her storage units robbed. A storage space belonging to Miley Cyrus was hit in January. Thieves made away with clothes, photographs and other personal items, according to the LAPD. In 2018, a storage unit belonging to Cyrus in the San Fernando Valley was also hit and thieves made off with valuable guitars.

No arrests have been made in the Beyoncé burglary, according to TMZ.

Beyoncé sends Taylor Swift flowers to celebrate Grammys 2021 win

(3/19/21) Could a collaboration be next?

Beyoncé sent Taylor Swift flowers on Friday to congratulate the “willow” singer on her 2021 Grammy award for Album of the Year.

“Woke up to flowers from the queen of grace & greatness @beyonce and suddenly it’s the best Friday EVER,” Swift, 31, captioned a photo of the bouquet and a handwritten note from the “Black Parade” singer, 39.

“Taylor, Congratulations on your Grammy,” the note read. “It was great seeing you on Sunday night. Thank you for always being so supportive. Sending love to you and your family. B.”

Swift added that her cat, Olivia Benson, also loved the flowers.

Swift also congratulated Beyoncé — who became the most decorated woman in Grammys history over the weekend after taking home four awards.

“Thank you B and congratulations on your epic achievement Sunday night!!” Swift wrote.

Swift and Beyoncé’s friendship was rumored to have blossomed back in 2014 when they celebrated the “Love Story” singer’s 25th birthday.

On Sunday, Swift — who donned in a ethereal floral dress — thanked her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn in her acceptance speech.

“Joe, who is the first person that I play every single song that I write,” she said. “I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine.”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé called her historic win “overwhelming,” while thanking her children and her husband Jay-Z, calling him her “rock.”

“I’ve been working my whole life since 9 years old and I can’t believe this happened. This is such a magical night,” Bey said.

Beyonce New Collab with Peloton ... Perfect Timing!!!

(11/10/20) Beyonce and Peloton have teamed up on a multi-year deal that will bring a series of themed workouts paying homage to historically black colleges and universities ... and the timing couldn't be better.

Playing off "Homecoming" -- her iconic Coachella concert film -- Beyonce's helped create cycling, running, strength, boot camp, yoga and meditation classes with Peloton to commemorate the annual fall Homecoming season at HBCUs. The singer was already the most requested artist among the fitness company's 3.6 million members, so the collab makes total sense.

In addition ... Bey and Peloton are gifting 2-year digital memberships to students at 10 different HBCUs, which provide access to the fitness classes through the Peloton App that can be used with or without equipment.

Along with the big partnership coming during homecoming season, the timing's also huge for the company ... in the stock market. As you may know, Peloton use has surged during the pandemic, but its shares took a hit Monday with the announcement of the Pfizer vaccine ... dropping 20 percent.

With the Beyonce news, shares jumped as much as 7 percent early Tuesday.

As for the Queen, she says she's been a Peloton member for years and is excited to partner with a company providing an innovative way for all people to "be the best versions of themselves."

She adds ... "I'm proud to celebrate the students at HBCUs with this donation, to encourage them to find and embrace their own wellness regimens."

Beyoncé makes last-minute endorsement for Joe Biden

(11/2/20) (Video) Beyoncé officially declared her support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Instagram on Monday, a day before the 2020 election.

The pop star posted a Boomerang clip of herself in a head-to-toe Balmain ensemble with a Biden and Harris mask and “I voted” sticker — which she placed atop her hat.

“Come thru, Texas! #vote ??,” wrote the singer, a shout-out to her home state, which is one of a handful of critical swing states that could help determine the election.

The 39-year-old, who has 155 million followers, also shared a get-out-the-vote post, in which she encouraged people voting with absentee ballots to drop them in a ballot box rather than a mailbox to ensure that they’re counted.

This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has thrown her support behind a presidential candidate.

The singer and her husband, Jay-Z, spoke out in support of Hillary Clinton in 2016 at an event in Ohio, where she performed and paid homage to the politician in a sharp matching pantsuit.

The Houston-born songstress was criticized in 2018 for her 11th-hour endorsement of Senate hopeful Beto O’Rourke, with some even blaming her for the Texas Democrat’s loss to Sen. Ted Cruz.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z spotted out for dinner with Solange

(9/21/20) Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted having a late-night dinner Saturday with Bey’s sister, Solange, and two friends at Scarpetta in NoMad.

A spy told us, “They were immediately taken to a private area outside. Jay-Z was seen browsing the wine menu and landed on a nice bottle of red. Beyoncé wore a tan long jacket, orange hat and snakeskin heels, and made sure to keep her face mask on until her food arrived.”

They had fried chicken, lots of pasta and cheesecake for dessert.

Over the summer, the couple had been yachting around the Hamptons with Twitter boss Jack Dorsey.

Beyonce celebrates birthday on superyacht in Croatia

(9/10/20) Beyonce is continuing her birthday celebrations in Croatia aboard a superyacht with her husband Jay-Z and the couple’s three kids.

In photos obtained by TMZ, the family is seen aboard the luxury vessel on Tuesday – four days after the Halo hitmaker celebrated her 39th birthday.

The superstar is snapped wearing a blue-and-white print top, with a straw hat, gold hoop earrings and sunglasses. According to the publication, the family enjoyed their time on the 107 metres long superyacht Lana near Cavtat, Croatia.

Costing approximately US$2 million, the boat fits up to 12 guests – not including the 34 person crew – and has eight ensuite staterooms, seven VIP rooms and a master suite. It also has a pool on deck, theatre and spa.

The Formation star has yet to post photos of her birthday festivities, but she did share a message with fans on her website along with a baby photo of herself.

“It’s Virgo season,” the message reads. “I want to thank everyone for the birthday love and beautiful birthday wishes!”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z cruise the Hamptons with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey

    (8/25/20) It’s no surfbort, but it’ll do.

If your appetite for celebrity watercraft news hasn’t been whetted by the whereabouts of David Geffen and his mega-yacht, you’re in luck! Jay-Z and Beyoncé were recently spotted cruising the lux waterways of the Hamptons with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey aboard … well, it’s just a regular yacht. But it looks nice!

Bey, 38, and Jay, 50, sipped rosé and hung out with their children alongside Dorsey, whose quarantine beard is rapidly approaching ZZ Top length. Both parents beamed while toting twins Sir and Rumi, with Beyoncé accessorizing a white blouse and jorts combo with a pink bucket hat and Jay clad in plaid.

Life hasn’t been all yachts, rosé and men named Jack for Beyoncé and Jay, however. Beyoncé’s visual album “Black Is King” debuted on Disney+ at the end of July to widespread acclaim, and Jay-Z just dropped a new single with Pharrell Williams, “Entrepreneur,” timed to coincide with the Williams-curated special issue of Time, “The New American Revolution.”

Perhaps Jay and Dorsey were discussing the rapper’s couplet in “Entrepreneur” that name-drops the tech figure: “Black Twitter, what’s that? When Jack gets paid, do you? / For every one Gucci, support two FUBUs.”

Beyonce: My New Vid's Got A Powerful Message ... 'All Different Shades of Brown' Represented

(8/24/20) (Video) Beyonce is back with another visually striking music video ... and Queen Bey says it's got a very important message in these seemingly impossible times.

Beyonce just dropped the music vid for her song, "Brown Skin Girl," and it's not your typical eye-candy experience. The video's really artsy and features appearances from her daughter, Blue Ivy, plus former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell and Lupita Nyong'o.

Bey says she and director Jenn Nkiru wanted to represent "all different shades of brown" ... explaining to "Good Morning America" why they wanted every woman to be filmed "in a regal light."

Mission accomplished, Beyonce and Jenn ... the beautiful backdrops and fancy outfits definitely give off a regal vibe.

The song is from Beyonce's album, "Black Is King," but don't let the title fool you ... Bey says it's important folks remember we're all in this together and there's good reason to celebrate one another.

Check out the video ... it's pretty much the polar opposite to "WAP."

Beyoncé celebrates Juneteenth by flying to The Hamptons

(6/20/20) Beyoncé celebrated Juneteenth by dropping her single “Black Friday” and immediately jetting off with her husband Jay-Z and three children to The Hamptons.

The new song’s opening lines are “I’m going back to the South, I’m going back where my roots ain’t watered down” — but in reality, Queen Bey opted for staying above the Mason-Dixon line as she and her family flew into the tony enclave of East Hampton.

Proceeds from the song will benefit Black-owned small businesses — and included links to dozens of Black-owned businesses, according to a post on her website. The site also included a message to fans that read, “Happy Juneteenth. Being Black is your activism. Black excellence is a form of protest. Black joy is your right.”

Also in the Hamptons this summer is Rihanna — who dropped $415,000 to rent a waterfront mansion for just one month — as well as Beyoncé neighbors Jennifer Lopez, Sean Combs, Steven Spielberg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Beyonce And Jay-Z Sued Over Allegedly Uncredited Contribution To 2018 Song “Black Effect”

(6/18/20) Beyonce and Jay-Z face a copyright infringement lawsuit in Los Angeles for allegedly using a monologue voiced by an uncredited Jamaican choreographer for their 2018 track “Black Effect” without permission, according to court papers obtained today.

In the suit, filed late Tuesday in federal court, dancer Lenora Stines alleges she spoke on tape of her feelings about “unconditional love” at the request of the celebrity couple. She contends she was told her thoughts would be used only in a promotional video.

A representative for the performers could not immediately be reached for comment.

Stines says she was asked in March 2018 to help hire dancers for a video to publicize the forthcoming Everything Is Love album and tour.

Beyonce and Jay-Z then asked if she would record her musings for the clip, Stines alleges.

Stines describes herself in the complaint as “extremely well-respected and highly regarded in the island of Jamaica, and throughout the world for her artistry and wisdom.”

When she inquired into the terms of an agreement she was asked to sign before recording her monologue, she alleges she was told that the agreement “was just a standard document that everyone had to sign.” She was then told not to worry because the agreement was “only going to be utilized so that her voice could be used in the video,” the suit alleges.

Stines says that when she asked if she could take a screen shot of the agreement to send to her attorney son, she was “explicitly told that she could not send a picture of the agreement to anyone to review.”

When Everything Is Love was issued in June 2018, the plaintiff felt “shock, horror and chagrin” to discover her vocals were used in the song “Black Effect,” leaving her feeling “violated,” the suit alleges.

Beyonce Demands Louisville Attorney General “Bring Justice To Breonna Taylor” In Open Letter

(6/14/20) Beyonce Knowles-Carter penned and open letter to Louisville Attorney General Daniel Cameron demanding justice for Breonna Taylor, who was killed in her own home after Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers entered her apartment.

“It has now been over three months since members of the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) killed Breonna Taylor,” Beyonce wrote in the letter, which is posted on her personal website. She went on to describe how plainclothes officers “forced their way into her apartment, where she was asleep and unarmed” before officers fired over twenty shots into Taylor’s home striking her at least eight times. She continued, “While ‘Breonna’s Law’ passed in Louisville and federal legislation has been introduced that [it] will also ban no-knock warrants, these small steps in the right direction are painful reminders that there has still been no justice for Breonna Taylor or her family.”

“Three months have passed and the LMPD’s investigations have created more questions than answers” she stated. She went on to say that within the same three months, zero arrests have been made and Taylor’s family still waits for justice.

She mentions, “The LMPD’s investigation was turned over to your office, and yet all of the officers involved in the shooting remain employed by the LMPD. Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Officers Myles Cosgrove and Brett Hankison must be held accountable for their actions.”

That said, Beyonce points out that Cameron’s office has the “power and responsibility to bring justice to Breonna Taylor and demonstrate the value of a Black woman’s life.” She urged his office to bring criminal charges to the aforementioned officers, commit to transparency in the investigation and prosecution of the officers’ criminal misconduct and “investigate LMPD’s response to Taylor’s murder as well as the pervasive practices that result in the repeated deaths of unarmed Black citizens.”

“Don’t let this case fall into the pattern of no action after a terrible tragedy,” she writes. “With every death of a Black person at the hands of the police, there are two real tragedies: the death itself, and the inaction and delays that follow it. This is your chance to end that pattern. Take swift and decisive action in charging the officers. The next month can’t look like the last three.”

Beyonce Amplifies Black Lives Matter In Graduation Speech; Champions Those Who Have Been Othered: “Make Them See You”

(6/7/20) Beyonce Knowles-Carter joined a prestigious roster of guest speakers for YouTube’s global virtual commencement ceremony Dear Class of 2020 on Sunday. The global superstar gave a speech that not only inspired but amplified the Black Lives Matter movement and encouraged everyone who has ever been put in the margins to stand up and be seen.

She kicked off her nearly 10-minute speech by thanking the Obamas and congratulating the class of 2020. “You have arrived here in the middle of a global crisis, a racial pandemic and worldwide expression of outrage at the senseless killing of yet another u
